He's inlove with her?

Blondie girl named Rose yanked her head closer to Tom's face. I had a dash of relief when he moved an inch away from her face.

His action made her frown but that made me grin.

And why is he not saying anything? He looked like he doesn't want her here but he's not saying anything.

That was until she attempted her lips on his cheek.

"Is Pace here?" He mumbled, using the inside of his palm pressed against his cheek to block Blondie's pouted lips.

I cocked a brow. Who the hell is Pace?

I feel like I'm invisible here. I feel like I'm not even here. Hellooo???

Blondie... Err-- I mean Rose moved back, not happy with Tom's reaction. She grimaced as she replied.

"No. I'm here alone. Who cares anyway,"

I cleared my throat in case they remember I'm here in front of them. They glanced at me, for awhile. I mean Rose did. Tom stared at me blankly before returning his gaze elsewhere but Rose.

I cannot believe this. I'm just gonna go. I might 'ruin' more of their moment.

I motioned to stand up. I froze on cue when he moved his clenched fist towards my direction as if signalling something. At the same time, his eyes squinted at me.

Unmindful, I sat back down. There was an urge within me that wanted to observe what might happen next. Besides, by looking at Tom's eyes, it seemed he doesn't want me to go.

"By the way," he uttered. "I forgot to mention..." He paused. He looked like he was hesitant to say what he wants to say next.

I goggled upon hearing as he went on.  My cheeks heated up.. in a good way.

"... My girlfriend," that was what he said. His voice was stern and low. I mean low like going into a whisper.

Taken aback, I can't do anything but smile.

Rose, meanwhile, gasped in disbelief. She stabbed me with her glare but I have managed to dodge them. I can't wait to share this to Liz tomorrow. She will flip!

"I-i'm confused. You? Tommy? A girlfriend? How? Why?" She nagged.

That's right. Deal with it sistah. I said that in my mind, mimicking Paula's ratchet voice. And please, stop calling him Tommy. It's annoying.

He yanked himself up."We need to go. It was nice seeing you," he peered at me with a message saying that I should stand up as well. I did.

I heard Rose mumbled something however I haven't gotten the chance to hear it clearly. The next I knew, there were sparks starting from  my palm, which started spreading throughout my spines and my entire body.

He was holding my hand as his free hand grasped the shopping bags I placed on the chair beside me. He hauled me at semi-fast pace so we could leave Blondie immediately without giving her any chance to catch up.

I jogged with him, dumbstruck as I transferred gazes from our hands clasped together to him, alternately (I did it three times just to make sure I wasn't imagining things.)

We stepped into the escalator going second floor.

I awoke from my astonishment with a blink. I heard him exhale deeply before grinning as he was shaking his head.

"Who was that?" I asked.

"Nobody,"

"Well, she sounded like a somebody to me," I raised an eyebrow, doubtful.
