[Gabby]

I was in the middle of an amazing dream when I was awoken by a loud thump which I reckon was the house's front door. A voice spoke and another voice followed after.

The first one, I knew it was Tom's but I failed to recognize the one that followed. It was a girl. Judging by the accent, I knew right immediately that it wasn't Margie's. Although, the voice and the accent was really familiar.

I felt some odd feeling inside my stomach. Could he have brought home another girl this time?! My mind was beginning to rant about the possibility. I shook the thought right away because it was making me uncomfortable thinking about it.

I gently pulled myself up, tiptoed to the door, pressed an ear against the door, and listened carefully.

I was waiting for Tom to get home last last night after he's done with wherever he was. I was actually expecting for him to be back home before me but when I got home from visiting my family, he still wasn't around. I waited.. and waited.. and waited.. until I had fallen asleep.

Now he's gone home and some random girl tags along. Again, uncomfortableness level 999.

I gasped in relief when there was another voice that spoke. It was a guy this time.

So he brought home two people. Someone with the French accent, and another guy.

Curious, I decided to come out of the bedroom and take a look for myself. A blonde girl and a guy with a corn-crow hairdo were sitting on the sofa. Tom was sitting on the sofa's headrest.  All three of them turned their heads around after I opened the door. My hands were still clutched around the door knob as my eyes stared at the two strangers.

Oh wait.

Now I know why the girl sounded familiar. She was the same person I met when Tom and I went to the mall to shop for new clothes.

My eyebrows furrowed together on its own as my brain began to recall that day.

She was that very girl who was flirting with Tom back then. I forgot her name but I was so sure it was her.

Tom hopped off the sofa and approached me, enclosing his arm around my shoulder. He squeezed my upper arm and forcibly pulled me closer.

The corn-crow guy stood up with a wide grin on his face. The girl next to him just gawked at me, scanning my appearance from head to toe with a raised eyebrow and a smug expression.

"Hey. This is her. The one I've mentioned to you yesterday," Tom said. His two visitors nodded in affirmation, having the guy moving closer towards me.

I let out a subtle gasp as he swiftly grasped for my hand, raised to his face, and gave the back of my palm a kiss as he bended his upper body down.

"It's so nice to meet you Gabby," he said. "The name's Pace," he added with another cheeky grin.

Uhh. I didn't know what to react. I was left stunned yet feeling awkward at his gesture. However, that awkwardness was immediately wiped out the moment my brain finished absorbing his name.

Pace.

It all came clear to me now. Well, slightly, rather. When we met that girl at the mall, she mentioned the name Pace. Tom acted tense at the mention of that name. When I tried to ask him about it, he didn't give any clear, definite answer.

But now the mysterious Pace is here... Inside our house... As Tom's welcomed visitor.

"Why are you staring at my boyfriend?" My whole brain processing was interrupted when miss blondie-french girl scowled, sounding really irritated. Her eyebrows curled into a frown and my shoulders sunk along with my dropped jaw as I think of something to retort.
