As we pass through the main Hall's huge doorway, I happened to glance back.

At first, I thought I saw someone, a bit distant from where we were. I already noticed her presence a while back, as we took a first step on the stairs down from the second floor.

Whenever I glance back for the second time, the presence was gone.

I don't know if I'm beginning to get paranoia with all these 'secret pregnancy' thingy but it's better safe than never.

".. as I was saying, Margie feels off sometimes. One time, I saw her talking to herself." Wes went on with his comments regarding our SC president.

"I heard people that talks to themselves are the smartest ones. You should try it Wes," Liz told him.

"What is your problem with me?" Uh-oh.. She finally triggered him. Another win for Liz.

"I'm sorry. I'll stop," it was genuine. Liz always stops once Wes is triggered. Last time she didn't, Wes didn't talk to her for weeks. The trigger point that time was due to a girl Wes was having a huge crush on.

"Oh you love me," Wes grinned.

"Yes. I love you. No homo," she said, circling her arm over Wes shoulder, and the other arm circling around mine.

"Yeah. No homo," he reiterated, doing the rock-n-roll sign with his hand.

Basically, the scenario ended with just the two of them talking as we made our way to the school's auditorium. Everytime I tried to insert in the conversation, they'd bury it with another tease until the topic slips away in space.

As we entered the auditorium, there were a lot of student. Most of them were girls. They were squeaking and squealing before the stage; jumping and cheering as the band played.

Cameron was the lead singer and also in charge for back up guitar.

We sat at one of the bleachers on the left side of the auditorium.

I spotted Jennifer sitted at the other side of the bleachers, nearer to the stage. Clapping her hands, cheering as well.

Jake, the lead guitar, did his famous guitar solo... And the girls went wild.

"Woooohooo Carteeeer!!!" Liz screamed so loud that my eardrums almost popped. She was clapping and smiling. Her scream attracted Jennifer, who was now directly looking at us as she claps.

I pressed my lower and upper lip against each other and deliberately looked straight unto the stage, pretending that I didn't saw her.

'...I'm in my prison and I am the only prey...'

Cameron began singing again.... And the girls went wild.

'I'm in the middle of the night.. can you hold me for tonight...'

We stayed to watch up till the end of their song. Wes was nagging the entire time. Making side-comments regarding Halo.

He even called Cameron, the teenage dirtbag.

"I don't get why girls go ga-ga over rockstars," he said.

"Nerds can be cool too. Not that I'm saying I'm a nerd... 'cause I'm not."

"All they got are muscles and abs and tattoos. Brains are the new macho."

Liz and I just let him rant his heart out. After all, he just got dumped by the girl he's been crushing since 4th grade. According to her, he wasn't cool enough.

When Halo took a break in their rehearsals, we decided to leave and head elsewhere.

The moment we were on the last step of the bleachers, we were surprised by what we saw. More like, who we saw.

Margie was standing near the auditorium's main door. She looked surprised to see us too.

"Hey Gabby," she greeted with a wide smile flashing her braced teeth.

Wes nudged my elbow in secret. He gave a 'did she just say 'Hey Gabby?'

I smiled a bit as a reply before greeting Margie back. She approached us cheerfully like we were close.

For everyone's information, we were not really close. True, we're both part of the student council, but back then it was purely business. She bossed me around when it comes to documents and files that needed to be dessiminated. Other than that, nothing else.

She started acting all friendly with me  ever since that...

That day at the clinic.

"Hi Margie," Liz greeted her with an extended hand to Margie's. She really wasn't interested. It's Liz' way of looking friendly.

"Uhh," Margie was hesitant to shake Liz' hand but she did anyway. "Hello there... You."

"What are you doing here Marg?" I questioned. We remained standing near the end of the bleachers. By this time, Halo members were sitted at one of the bleachers that was nearest to the stage.

Jennifer was with Cameron already, wiping his sweat with a hand towel. I wanted to avoid viewing them however my eyes would find its way back at them.

"I.. uhh... Came to watch Halo's practice," Margie responded. We were astounded by her respond.

Liz tilted her head. "Really? You don't seem like the type to be interested in such things." She plainly said.

Margie chuckled. Liz is right. Back then, I never see her step foot inside the auditorium just for nothing. Most especially if it has something to do with non-academic stuff. Even at those times when Liz and I sneaked in to view Halo's rehearsals.

Those sneaking in times was all for Liz and her huge crush for drummer boy Carter.

Margie snickered. "True. But as SC President, I need to check up on recent club activities. Plus, this is for the school festival."

I cocked an eyebrow. Liz did the same while Wes tilted his head a bit. There was something in her excuse that seemed untrue-- highly doubtful.

"Anyways, are you finished watching? Are they done with the rehearsals already?" She asked.

"We got bored," Wes mumbled. Liz agreed. Her part was a lie though. She would never get bored watching Carter thump those drumsticks as his curly sweaty golden hair dance through every drum beat. It was, as she say it, 'dreamy'.

"Oh," Margie sounded disappointed. "I didn't got to see everything. I just got here you know," she explained. Nobody really asked but we just nodded like we were interested.

She suddenly froze which baffled us a bit. We realized she was peering something over behind us. We turned our heads, and right on, Jennifer was sitting on Cameron's lap.

The latter's arms were circled around the evil Queen's waist as she leaned in for his lips.

I have never been disgusted all my life.

"She's so gross," we heard Margie muttered under her breath, still enough for us to hear it.

And, yeah. She said that right.

"I liked it better when you and Cameron were dating--"

I winced. She seemed to read the message and shut her mouth. She gave an apologetic smile and I returned it with half a smile.

"At least you're with Tom now right?"

I gaped at her. A gasp escaped. I threw quick glances at Wes and Liz hoping they'd confirm that what I heard was wrong.

It wasn't wrong. Shocks were printed all over their faces too. The three of us exchanged glances, agaping.

"Wh-what are y-you talki-ing ab-bout?" Margie jittered with a dash of chuckling.

Wes adjusted the strap of his backpack and chortled. "She's not with Tom."

"Really? Then why were you together at the mall yesterday?" My eyes widened in disbelief.

How did she know that? Did she saw us? I made sure she wasn't anywhere around before we left. How could she?

Tom's gonna kill me!
