21: Fight for Her Way

I opened my eyes as I woke up early in the morning. Seohyun and I stayed inside the woods, it would be safer if we stay away from the city and the hunters too.

Seohyun can't go back to the headquarters as they will knew she was a half-vampire.

I had to find a way to put her down. I look at my hand and saw purple aura coming from it, my mother's power is flowing within me. But I have to control it.

Then I stood up and find something to eat, my stomach growls again. I haven't been eating since dinner. I have to hunt again for food.

I grabbed my bow that I created from a broken branch and arrows made also from branches. I also brough a spear if I am out of arrows. Seohyun is still sleeping, I smiled a bit. "I'll be back, Joohyun." I said before going through the dangerous part of the woods.

The forest is so thick, all filled with green leaves and moss. I crouched as I saw a deer not far from where I was, slowly lifting my bow and l pulled the string with an arrow, I silently hold my breath while pointing the arrow to the deer and let go of my fingers and it was a bulls eye.

My father, the king, taught me how to use a bow. Somehow, I manage to use my skill for survival. I was the only one who trained to defend myself...

If only my sister was the one who should taught to be trained and not me...

I stood up from the bush and get the deer's body and went back to the safe place. I heard Seohyun's scream from afar, my eyes widen and starts running to our camp. I saw a group of vampires holding Seohyun, tied her up on a trunk.

Then I can see a familiar face, one vampire. I think I met him before...

I close my eyes to recall in a quick flashback...

After what happened to my sister and my father, we keep on low profile. Me and my mother served the now reigning Queen, Taeyeon. We surrender in order to survive, half of the king's guard became a brainwashed humanoid vampire.

Everytime I encountered them, they asked me, "Who do you serve?" in an unemotional tone. I looked down and answered, "I serve for the Queen." then they continue walking pass me.

I took a deep breath, "I should look for Sooyoung..." I whispered before walking to her room. I'm still grateful I still have her. I smiled and went to knock on her door, "Sooyoung-ah? Are you there?" I asked.

But no response.

I knock again, "Sooyoung-ah?" That is when I noticed the door was open. I pushed it lightly and she isn't here.

"She must have been task for something." I sighed and a guard, hopefully, a human noticed me and told me to go to the dungeon to give prisoners some foods.

I obeyed and went to the kitchen to fetch some leftover foods and bring them to dungeon.

As I walk down and gave some prisoners a the foods, I heard a scream of pain. It was from...

"Sooyoung?"

I followed the scream and saw her being tortured, but not physically, more like she was possessed. I stepped back as I saw Taeyeon was there, staring at Sooyoung.

"You are starting to change Sooyoung, that is why you are in pain." Taeyeon said.

Is she turning her into one of her?

Then Sooyoung took a glance of me and she was surprised that I was there. I shake my head and starts walking backwards, someone blocked me and quickly covers my mouth.
