4: Midget Laugh

"Ugh..." I groaned as I woke up from the couch. I rub my nape and yawn. I can't remember what happened last night.

I got up from the couch and walked to my room. I saw Taeyeon sleeping on my bed, she actually sleep like a dead inside the coffin?

She's a vampire, pabo! I thought to myself before shaking my head.

She looked like kid when sleeping. How can someone become a Queen at this age? How old is she anyway?

I went to the kitchen and cook our breakfast. I flipped the pancakes, make a sunny side eggs, and bacon strips.

Then I turn around and saw Taeyeon standing behind me which gave me a surprise.

"Oh shit!" I stepped backwards and held my chest tightly.

"Did I scare you, agassi?" She smirked and looked behind me. "What are you cooking?" She asked. I looked at my cooking and placed it on a plate.

"I cooked a meal for us, your majesty." I said and gives her a plate for the meal. She seemed clueless of what I'm doing. I gave her a pancake, an egg and the bacon strips.

She looked at the foods and she seemed unfamiliar with the pancake and the bacon. I started eating my breakfast while Taeyeon still looking at her food. "Why aren't you eating your food, your majesty?" I asked.

"I do not eat mundane foods."

"But you were once one of them, no?" I asked her.

She glared at me, "You know nothing about me, agassi." She stood up and went back to the bedroom.

After eating my breakfast, I heard a doorbell. I walked towards the door and open it, I saw Sooyoung and Yoona.

I smiled as I saw them, "Hi! Sooyoung and Yoona. You guys are early today, hm?"

"Well, yeah. We might help you with your baby sitting." Sooyoung chuckles. I groaned and pulled the two of them far from my room.

"She's really gonna get on my nerves, Soo!" I grumbled a bit and crosses my arms.

"Take it easy, Fany-ah. She haven't been used in this world's system." She answered.

"The Queen will get used to it as time passes by, Tif." Yoona said. "How did you know about the queen?"  I asked her.

Yoona shows her fangs sticking out from her mouth. "You're a vampire too?" Then she nodded, Sooyoung grab my shoulder and looks at me.

"Yoona was one of the Queen's commander in battle." Sooyoung told me.

"And... where are the other vampires you know?" I asked her. "There are four of us: Me, Yoona, Soonkyu and our dear old friend... Yuri." Yoona answered.

"Then, where are they?"

"Soonkyu is still hiding due to the fact that the hunters were trying to kill her, and Yuri... well, she's still inside the prison. Underground. Guarded by the specialists and hunters." Sooyoung said.

"Why is your friend imprisoned?" I asked again. Sooyoung crosses her arms and sighs. "Soonkyu and Yuri were living together when the hunters caught them."

"Soonkyu got away and Yuri was captured, but Yuri has other plans. We still don't know yet." She added.

We heard footsteps and we turn around and saw Taeyeon.

"Q-Queen Taeyeon? Is that really you?" Yoona's eyes widen as she looked at her.

"Commander Yoona. It has been a while." Taeyeon smirked. Yoona bowed in front of her, "My loyalty to you never wavers, your majesty."

Taeyeon nodded and looked at the two of us. "I heard there are some of my subordinates still alive up until now."

"Y-yes, my Queen." Sooyoung answered. 

"And Yeri? Do you have any words about her?" She asked.

"We still do not know yet." Yoona said. I noticed Taeyeon's eyes droop down a bit as she answered her question.

"Can we please come inside so that we could discuss this?" I pushed them all inside my room and locked the door.

"Agassi, can I ask something?" Taeyeon asked. I nodded and then she pointed her finger on the flat screen television.

"What is that thing?" She asked.

"That is the television, your majesty. Where you can watch them for entertainment." I answered.

I get the remote and turn the television on. Then it was Weekly Idol. I have watched so many episodes about that.

Taeyeon only blinked and tries to touch the television, "Why are they there? Why I cannot touch them?"

"Because, my queen, they are entertaining us." Yoona answered.

Sooyoung went to the dining room to find something to eat, I get the untouch meal for Taeyeon and give it to her.

"Here, Soo." I smiled.

"Oh! Thank you!" And then she starts eating.

"Soo, did she never eat human foods again? I mean, all she need to live is to suck blood from other people." I said.

"Queen Taeyeon is extremely picky when it comes to food. But she ate human foods before." Sooyoung responded.

"Before she becomes the queen or before she slept in a very long time?"

She shake her head, "Nah, she have eaten meat, beef and chicken after her transformation."

Then we heard a laugh in the living room and we saw Taeyeon laughing over the pranks in the TV. Sooyoung and I were surprised.

Her laugh, she's like an old lady when she laugh so hard.

"She knows how to laugh after all." I said before chuckling.

"See? She's like a kid. She just have to fit in our society today." Sooyoung said with a smile. "Can I ask something, Soo?" I said.

"Yeah, what is it?"

"Who is Yeri?" I asked, she went silent before opening her mouth. "Queen Taeyeon's favorite handmaiden-- I don't know of her, but someday, the queen will tell you about her."

I nodded and watched them watching TV...
