23: Never Let That Happen

"Sooyeon-ah?" The petite young lady only scratched her head as she wears a magistrate outfit to disguise herself to enter the palace.

She was waiting for her beloved princess to come just have a time for themselves, Taeyeon sighed and sat on the smooth rock while tossing a pebble in the air. She got bored and stood up, she heard a rustle in a bush and made her look to it. Taeyeon saw a woman hiding behind it, ebony hair and perfectly curved eyes.

Taeyeon was going to walk closer but the handmaiden runs away, "Eh? Who was that?" she asked herself.

Few moments later, the princess came and this made Taeyeon so thrilled to meet her again. "Princess Sooyeon." She said, the princess looked at her outfit before chuckling. "You look like a real magistrate in your outfit, Taeyeon-ah."

The disguised thief blinks before looking at her outfit, "Ahh, do not worry, I won't be wearing it for too long." she giggles and looks behind the princess. There stood a beautiful woman who looked like a handmaiden of the princess.

"Oh, she was the one who was hiding from me earlier." Taeyeon said, pointing her finger to the woman.

Sooyeon turned around and smiled, "Her name is Miyoung, my handmaiden." She introduced her to Taeyeon.

"Handmaiden?" The petite woman looked at the shy handmaiden, "But she looked a bit identical to you." That made the princess glared at her lover.

"Yah, are you drunk?" She said coldly to Taeyeon, which made the disguised thief scared a bit. "N-no, I'm not! I was just saying, Sooyeon-ah! I think my sight just got a bit weird right now." Then scratched her head as she was being nervous a bit.

Another handmaiden came, "Princess Sooyeon, the king needs your presence in the throne room." she told her.

Sooyeon pouted a bit before looking at Taeyeon and Miyoung. "I need to go, Magistrate Taengoo. Miyoung will accompany you out of the courtyard." She said before looking at her one last and went to the throne room.

Taeyeon sighs and followed the handmaiden, she can see that she is quiet and not much of talking person like Sooyoung. "So... Miyoung, where do you live?" She asked the woman in front of her.

The handmaiden only bit her lip trying to avoid not to talk to princess's lover, but Taeyeon noticed her silence before she rushed in front of her and smiled. "Yah, Miyoung-ah. You can talk, right? Come on, say something." She didn't like it when her surroundings were engulfed by silence.

"I... U-uhh..." Miyoung blushes a bit before looking directly onto the thief's eyes. "I d-do not talk m-much to people..." She admitted it before looking down, Taeyeon only blinked for a moment and sighed.

"Well, you are a quiet one." Taeyeon replied.

Miyoung looked down as she held her chest, feeling her heart beating fast. Is she have feelings with her half-sister's lover? If she could remember what she did to her, she will already know by now of what to talk about.

Taeyeon stood in front of her and looekd at her, Miyoung stopped and their eyes met. The handmaiden's were red as her heart beats faster before passing out. Taeyeon was surprised and caught her body.

"Yah, Miyoung-ah! Wake up!" She gradually shakes her body, but she has no response. "Aigoo, I need to tell this to Princess Sooyeon!" The thief whined as she still carrying the handmaiden's body.

I never set foot in an island like this, it is so breathtaking and so beautiful.

I can see the sun is starting to set, it's brightness is colliding against the surface of the ocean while the breeze dampened on my cold dead skin. I never had seen this place before.

If only I could take Sooyeon here a long time ago, we could build our home here, far away from his father and his kingdom. But she's gone now, all I could do is to convince her sister.

I tilt my head and saw Sooyoung behind me, she quietly sat beside me while watching the sun set. "Sooyoung-ah, how much do you know about her?" I asked her before turning my head to her.

Sooyoung already knew what I meant. She sighed before looking at me, "I know most about her, she's a jolly kid and a cheerful woman. We lived in a vilage nearby the Han river. We did fishing together and play by the forest. Until the king had found her and adopted her and her mother, he made them handmaidens." She told me.

"She has the purest of hearts, just like Princess Sooyeon. Miyoung never harbors hate and anger, until the princess died and you became a vampire. Even before you turned me into one, I could feel Miyoung's unwavering hatred towards you..." Sooyoung clenched her fist and she looked away as her tears started to fall. "I have always wanted to tell her to stop, but I didn't have enough courage to say it. Miyoung became distant when she knew I was turned."

I looked down and stared at hand, I sighed and looked at her. "I am sorry." I apologized, not looking at her. "It's fine, your Maj--"

"I'm sorry that I turned you and the others..." I cut her off before looking at the taller woman, "I was being selfish back then that I never understood the feelings of others."

I sighed and looked at the horizon again, "I swear to make things right and convince her not to join with Jae Bum."

"Why? You know she's going to kill you if she sees a shadow of you." she said.

"Jae Bum was the one who rewrote the orders and rules that I have implemented to make the humans to hate me. I know what he is planning, if he taught Tiffany about my wrong doings, another fuel will add on her fire. I don't want her to fill her heart with anger, I don't want to see her like that." I closed my eyes and clenched my fist.

"I want to save her from that snake."

Sooyoung looked at me and smiled, "I'll help you convince her. You can always count on me, My Queen." she winks and stood up. "Let's go, my queen. We have a girl to catch." Then I stood up and walked back to our hideout.

We lived in an abandoned warehouse for a while and plan on infiltrating the the cave where they are staying. We've been planning it for a day before we prepared ourselves.

Sunny drove us to where the cave is and prepare for the blood bath that is about to happen.

Sooyoung and Yuri were on the front and starts scouting us inside, some vampires came after us and we beat them as long as we have enough strengths, we can reach to her and Jae Bum.

I can't let Tiffany to be like me, to hold hatred in my heart. I can never let that happen.

So I finally updated! I have been finishing my exams for this sem because it is bloody hectic. College life is fun but chaotic at times. But here I am! I will finish this once and for all!
