Quinn and Sam continued to rehearse for the rest of the week at Quinn's growing closer together which became apparent much to the chagrin of Puck. "What's going on with you and big mouth?" Puck asked annoyed as he approached Quinn. "Nothing. We're just duet partners" Quinn said quickly "Jealous much?" "Damn straight I'm jealous. I haven't seen Beth since this summer when I stopped by with the cash from my pool cleaning business," Puck said annoyed. "I told you you're always welcome to stop by," Quinn said coolly. "Cut the crap Quinn, you and I both know what's really going on. You're trying to have Wonder Boy be your new boyfriend so you two can have your perfect life," Puck said annoyed. "Would that be so bad if I was?" Quinn asked continuing down the hall. "Gee I don't know. Last time we talked it seemed like you had another better option," Puck said as Quinn made a face. "You chose to be with Santana over the summer. I moved on just like you did. You can't tell me what I can and can't do anymore," Quinn said annoyed as she walked off leaving Puck upset as he hit into the lockers mad.

That afternoon Puck didn't show up for Glee rehearsals and Mr. Schue had to tell the club the bad news. "All right, let's, uh, let's gather around. Sorry I'm late, guys. I was with Principal Figgins. Bad news, guys. Puckerman's in juvie," Mr. Schue frowned. "It really was just a matter of time," Tina said flippantly. "What did he do?" Quinn asked seeming in shock. "He drove his mom's Volvo through the front of a convenience store and drove off with the ATM," Mr. Schue said as some of the members of the Glee Club laughed. "And when is he getting out?" Rachel asked. "Unknown," Mr. Schue said shaking his head. "He might be the dumbest person on this planet, and that's coming from me," Brittany giggled. "Guys! Let's have some sympathy," Mr. Schue corrected them. "For a guy who put his needs before the team's? We need his voice and his bad-boy stage presence," Finn frowned. "Finn's right. We're down to 11 members once again and Kurt's without a duet partner for week," Quinn frowned a bit. "Well we're going to have to make due with what we have," Mr. Schue said as the Glee Club nodded. "Sam, Quinn, you guys are up," Mr. Schue said as Sam and Quinn got up for their performance.

"I just wanted to say I couldn't have asked for a better partner," Sam said as Quinn smiled. "I could say the same thing," Quinn smiled as she and Sam then began to perform their duet of 'Lucky'.

"Do you hear me, I'm talking to you across the water across the deep blue ocean under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying," Sam sang. "Boy I hear you in my dreams. I feel your whisper across the sea. I keep you with me in my heart. You make it easier when life gets hard," Quinn sang as Sam joined in with her on the chorus "I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend. Lucky to have been where I have been. Lucky to be coming home again. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh," Sam & Quinn harmonized. "They don't know how long it takes," Quinn began. "They don't know how long it takes," Sam repeated. "Waiting for a love like this," Sam and Quinn harmonized. "Every time we say goodbye," Quinn began. "Every time we say goodbye," Sam repeated. "I wish we had one more kiss. I'll wait for you I promise you, I will," Sam and Quinn harmonized. "Cause I'm," Sam sang. "Lucky I'm in love with my best friend. Lucky to have been where I have been. Lucky to be coming home again. Lucky we're in love in every way. Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed. Lucky to be coming home someday," Sam and Quinn harmonized. "And so I'm sailing through the sea," Sam sang. "To an island where we'll meet," Sam and Quinn harmonized. "You'll hear the music fill the air I'll put a," Sam sang. "Flower," Sam and Quinn harmonized. "In your hair," Sam sang. "Though the breezes through the trees move so pretty you're all I see. As the world keeps spinning round you hold me right here right now," Quinn sang. "Lucky I'm in love with my best friend. Lucky to have been where I have been. Lucky to be coming home again. Lucky we're in love in every way. Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed. Lucky to be coming home someday. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh," Sam and Quinn harmonized as they held hands. The others clapped for them. "Wow now that's what I call a duet," Mr. Schue grinned as Quinn quickly let go of Sam's hand this was too much, too fast and she didn't know how to stop it.

"Hey can we talk?" Sam asked as Quinn nodded. "You seemed kind of distant after we had that moment in the song," Sam said as Quinn sighed. "I care about you Sam...I do. I just went through a lot last year. I just don't want to look back and make the same mistake twice," Quinn said emotionally. "Hey..." Sam said as he lifted her head up "I'm not that guy." Quinn let the tears roll down her cheeks. "I would never pressure you to do anything you didn't want to do. I'm not even sure I'd be ready for that myself," Sam said as Quinn chuckled a bit wiping her eyes. "All I know is I really care about you Quinn. I've grown to have feelings for you these last few days and I would be honored if you'd go out with me," Sam said as Quinn smiled a bit. Sam was the perfect gentleman, the guy she had always pictured she'd end up with but with Beth to think about what was her best call. "Sam...it's not that I don't care about you. I do," Quinn began. "But?" Sam asked. "I just don't know how much of a girlfriend I'd be to anyone," Quinn sighed "It's hard enough balancing school and the baby." "I know your daughter comes first and foremost. If we can't go out that's fine. We could stay in," Sam said as Quinn shook her head, how did she get so lucky. "As long as you're sure," Quinn said. "I'm sure," Sam said as he pulled Quinn in for a kiss, a kiss that would solidify them as McKinley High's newest it couple.
