It had been about 6 months since Beth had been born. Like most kids Beth was able to sit up on her own and started trying to turn herself over which made changing her a lot harder for Quinn. "You don't like to sit still do you?" Quinn chuckled a bit as she restrained Beth who didn't seem happy with not being able to flip over and continued to cry. "I'm almost done...I know baby I know," Quinn frowned a bit as she finished changing Beth then picked her up. Almost instantly Beth stopped crying and began to coo at her mother. "Much better right?" Quinn smiled at the baby who gave her mom a grin. "That's a good girl," Quinn said as she carried Beth to the couch and sat her up on her lap. Judy then entered the room. "How are you feeling about tomorrow?" Judy asked as Quinn sighed she had been dreading tomorrow, the day school started.
"I hate that I have to leave her but I know she'll be in good hands," Quinn said honestly as Judy sat next to her daughter. "I'm proud of you Quinnie. You gave your entire summer to take care of Beth," Judy told Quinn seriously who shrugged. "She is my responsibility now mom," Quinn said as Judy nodded approvingly at her daughter. "I know it's going to be hard, leaving her but you're doing the right thing. You need to finish high school so you can get a better future for her," Judy said as Quinn nodded. "I know. I mean I got one of the highest scores on my SATs, I'm just hoping to stay on honor roll again this year so I can put that on my college applications," Quinn said honestly as Judy smiled. "Whatever you put your mind to you can do. You worked hard to get that score. Not to mention you had a few sleepless nights taking care of Beth while studying and you managed to ace it," Judy said as Quinn nodded. Beth seemed to have had the worst timing to be keeping Quinn up all night when she had registered to take her SATs that week but somehow, Quinn managed to get a 1550, a near perfect score with what little sleep she had gotten.
"I'm still surprised I did so well," Quinn admitted. "You've been studying since your freshman year to get a good SAT score. All the tutoring we sent you to payed off," Judy smiled as Quinn couldn't help but smile back. She had always had the drive to do well in school, to make something more of herself than be stuck in Lima for the rest of her life.
The next morning Quinn got herself up early to get ready for her first day back at McKinley High. As much as she missed her friends, especially those in the New Directions she was still feeling somewhat unsure about leaving Beth. "I'll see you when I get home okay?" Quinn whispered to a sleeping Beth as she blew her a kiss before heading into McKinley High for the start of her junior year.
"Took you long enough to get here Fabray," Santana quipped at her best friend. "I see the Welcome Wagon is in full effect," Quinn said sarcastically to Santana who rolled her eyes. "Speaking of Welcomes, When do we get to see the stork that delivered Beth, I've been waiting since sophomore year," Brittany frowned as Santana opened her mouth to say something to Brittany but was stopped by Jacob Ben Israel approaching them.
"How has life changed since the birth of your bastard child?" Jacob asked Quinn as she got her binder from her locker. Quinn tried to keep herself together, especially since she hated hearing anyone refer to her baby as anything derogatory. "Well, I'm happy to be back, and I'm ready to start fresh. And... I'm a lot less hormonal, so...," Quinn said as she grabbed the camera and turned it back to her since the only thing the camera man seemed to be interested in was filming seemed interested in Santana's boobs. "So there's not really any crying." "How was your summer?" Jacob said flirtatiously to Santana. "My eyes are up here, JewFro. And it was uneventful," Santana said rolling her eyes as she filed her nails. "People thought I went on vacation, but actually I spent the summer lost in the sewers," Brittany told Jacob as Quinn, Santana, and Jacob all make confused faces as to what the hell Brittany was talking about. "Interesting just a few more questions," Jacob said to the Unholy Trinity "What did you do with all that breast milk?" he asked Quinn as she turned around once again from her locker. Quinn narrowed her eyes at Jacob. "That question is uncalled for and I don't need to answer it so some of your readers can live out some perverted fantasy about my breasts," Quinn huffed shutting her locker behind her "Now if you'll excuse me. I have to get to class." "Someone's still hormonal," Jacob said as Quinn could feel the rage building in her but decided to walk away from the situation where she soon met up with Puck.
"You okay? You seem really pissed," Puck said as Quinn sighed. "It's Jacob and his stupid blog! He keeps asking questions about things he shouldn't," Quinn said. "Want me to rough him up," Puck smirked as Quinn shook her head. "I don't need you getting into any trouble. Especially over me," Quinn assured Puck who seemed to take her word for it but decided against what Quinn had told him as he stormed over to Jacob and his cameraman.
It wasn't until after school that Quinn saw what Puck did for her. She decided to watch the video while taking care of Beth. "HEY JEWFRO! WE NEED TO HAVE A TALK," Puck said enraged as he stormed over to Jacob. "Well, if it isn't Noah Puckerman. Do I have a ton of questions for you," Jacob grinned. "Save it, nerd. I heard what you did to my girl it's payback time," Puck said as he dragged Jacob outside and threw him into a dumpster. "YOU WANT TO BE NEXT?" Puck asked the cameraman who shook his head as Puck punched the camera as he walked off. Quinn couldn't help but be shocked. She appreciated what Puck did for her, sure but throwing kids into dumpsters seemed an awful lot like something the old Puck would do. If he acted like he had before, she wasn't so sure she wanted him in her life or Beth's.
