After their win at Sectionals the New Directions were getting into the holiday spirit. With midterms coming up Mr. Schue decided to have the club take it easy and work on performing Christmas carols in school. Quinn knew most of the songs and spent most of her time studying. While she had still been a straight A student, she wanted to do well on her midterms even though she was exempt from some of them, she wanted to do better in the classes she didn't have as high of an average in.

"Studying again?" Sam chuckled a bit as he approached his girlfriend giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I just want to bring up my grade in history. I'm at a 90 but I've been on the verge of getting a B and I just want to make sure when taking the midterm I get the best grade I can," Quinn explained as Sam nodded. "Yeah I get it. I mean I'd be happy to be passing but you've got so much ambition," Sam smiled as Quinn smiled back at him. "I just want to make the most out of my education especially since I have Beth to worry about," Quinn said honestly as Mr. Schue entered the choir room.

"Alright guys, as you know winter break is coming up but we still need to raise money to get to Nationals which are in New York City this year," Mr. Schue said as the New Directions cheered. "We may have won Sectionals, but Regionals is going to be a whole new ball game. As for now, I want you all to enjoy the last week of the semester okay?" Mr. Schue said as the New Directions nodded as Mr. Schue put on a Christmas movie for the New Directions to watch while others like Quinn studied. Sam got into the movie which Puck took as an opportunity to talk to Quinn. Quinn had been brushing him off since Halloween but with the holidays coming up, Puck's only wish was to spend them with his daughter and he was determined to make that happen.

"Hey long time no talk," Puck said as Quinn gave him a glare. "What do you want Puckerman?" Quinn asked annoyed continuing to look over her studies. "What did I ever do to you?" Puck asked annoyed as Quinn looked up at him. "Other than the obvious?" she said folding her arms "You got yourself into trouble by getting arrested. How am I supposed to think you're responsible enough to be around my daughter?" "She's mine too you know," Puck muttered annoyed as Quinn shook her head "Besides, I haven't seen her since Sectionals and with the holidays coming up. I'd really like a chance to spend them with her." Quinn sighed. Part of her wanted Puck to spend time with Beth but there was another part of her that worried. "My Bubbie is coming into town for Hanukkah, you remember how excited she was about her granddaughter coming right?" Puck said as Quinn nodded, remembering spending the holidays last year with the Puckermans and how gracious Puck's grandmother had been to her. "Well I told her you kept the baby and she was hoping you guys would stop by," Puck said as Quinn seemed taken aback. Not only was Beth invited to the Puckerman's festivities but she was too. "So we're both invited?" Quinn asked surprised. "Only if you want to come. I know you'll probably be spending Christmas with your own family but you really embraced our traditions last year and I figured it's the least I could do," Puck said as Quinn thought about it. Maybe letting her daughter meet her father's family wouldn't be such a bad idea. "Okay," Quinn nodded as Puck celebrated. "I swear you won't regret this Quinn," Puck grinned as he went back to his seat as Quinn smiled down at her papers, wondering if she had made the right choice.

The last day before winter break was December 16th when most of the midterm grades were put up quickly since the teachers too wanted to be on break. Quinn was pleasantly surprised with her history midterm grade a 95 which boosted her average to a 93. She knew going into the next semester she had to try just as hard on her schoolwork, especially with the state testing coming up but that was worries for the new year.

Quinn knew her mother wouldn't be too thrilled about her being at the Puckermans, especially for Hanukkah. As a devout Christian the Fabrays were always taught to respect other religions but not to take part in their customs. Quinn knew that was one of the reasons her mom had such an issue with her and Puck since they were both of different faiths and Judy had wanted Beth to be raised of the Christian faith. Quinn arrived home that afternoon thrilled to be on break. "I'm home," Quinn called out as she headed over to Beth who was playing with her toys inside her pack and play. "Mommy's missed you," Quinn smiled a bit as Beth cooed at her as Quinn picked her up. "Good you're home," Judy smiled as she was getting dressed up. "Going somewhere?" Quinn asked her mom raising an eyebrow. "We're having a Christmas party at work so I won't be home till late," Judy explained. "Have fun," Quinn smiled glad for her mom. "Thanks. I just hope this doesn't ruin your plans for break," Judy sighed as Quinn made a face. "What do you mean?" Quinn asked her mom. "Well, you know how I've worked with my company to ensure that I could be here to take care of Beth until you got home?" Judy asked as Quinn nodded "Well to make it up to them, they want me to work the holidays." "Oh mom I'm so sorry," Quinn frowned. "Sorry for what? I'm the one who's ruining your break. You're going to have to take care of Beth all week," Judy said as Quinn didn't mind. "I hardly get to spend time with her so you're not ruining anything," Quinn smiled a bit "Besides, I'm really looking forward to spending Beth's first Christmas home with her." "That's my girl," Judy smiled a bit giving her daughter a kiss on the forehead "I've got to go. I left you some money if you want to order a pizza or something, otherwise, the fridge is fully stocked if you want to make dinner for you and Beth," Judy explained as Quinn smiled a bit. "Thanks mom, I appreciate it," Quinn smiled as Judy rushed out the door leaving Quinn alone to spend some quality time with Beth, something she had been looking forward to all week long.
