Judy was thrilled to hear her daughter was having a normal life and had been asked out on a date. "Go out with him. I can watch Beth," Judy assured Quinn. "You're sure?" Quinn asked. "Positive. Quinnie, I know you feel Beth is your responsibility but you're 17, you need to live your life like a normal 17 year old should. You've already given up so much for Beth with not rejoining the Cheerios," Judy told Quinn who nodded. She knew had she been on the cheerios her weekends would be booked up with football games and she would sometimes have to travel from town to town for the games. She did miss being a cheerleader but she knew Beth had to come first before anything else so the only afterschool activity she had was Glee Club. "I'll call him," Quinn said as Judy smiled taking Beth into the next room as Quinn dialed Sam's number.

"Hey," Sam grinned answering the phone. "Hey," Quinn smiled "I talked to my mom and she said she'd watch Beth if we wanted to go out somewhere." "Really?" Sam asked. "Mhmm. She wants me to have somewhat of a normal life so," Quinn shrugged. "Well tell her I said thank you," Sam smiled a bit. "I will," Quinn said. "Want to see a movie?" Sam asked as Quinn smiled a bit. "I'd like that," Quinn said. "Cool. Pick whatever you want to see I don't mind," Sam said as Quinn couldn't help but feel happier than she had in a long time. "Sure. I'll look into the movies," Quinn said as she began to see what was playing that weekend. She soon picked 'Easy A' out and told Sam to meet her for the noon showing.

"I've heard this movie is supposed to be really good," Quinn smiled a bit as she and Sam walked into the theatre. "I'm sure it will be. I love Emma Stone's movies so this should be good," Sam smiled as he put his arm around Quinn as the two watched the comedy, laughing and smiling throughout the entire film. It was the first time in a long time that Quinn had felt like a normal teenager.

When the movie ended Sam walked with Quinn to the car. "I have to say the critics were right that movie was hilarious," Sam said as Quinn nodded. "It was actually a lot of fun seeing a movie in a movie theatre again," Quinn said "I haven't gotten out much since Beth was born." Sam nodded understandingly "Well I'm glad you had a good time," he smiled. "The best," Quinn smiled back as he got her home. Sam walked her up to her porch. "Thank you for an amazing date. I think I needed to get out," Quinn said honestly. "Hey anytime. I'm glad I got to spend some quality time with you," Sam said as Quinn pulled him in for a goodnight kiss as Sam kissed her back. The sparks flew between them as each of them didn't want the moment to end. "Goodnight Quinn," Sam said. "Goodnight Sam," Quinn smiled as she walked inside closing the door behind her feeling her heart racing once again for the first time in a long time.

As the weeks went on Sam and Quinn had dates almost every weekend, sometimes Quinn would go to the football games to support Sam as quarterback, other times they would stay in at Quinn's and look after Beth together, and other nights they went out for dinner or went to the movies falling more in love with each date. Quinn couldn't help but feel happy again with everything in her life. She had everything she could've wanted, a sweet caring boyfriend, her beautiful daughter who was rapidly learning new things and growing fast, and she was once again at the top of her class at school, ensuring that whatever college she applied for would most likely accept her but all that came to a screeching halt when the word that Puck had gotten out of juvie and would be returning got around.

"It's about time. Things were getting boring around her," Santana said coolly as she walked into the choir room thrilled to see Puck sitting there. Quinn however didn't feel the same way. It had been weeks since they had their fight about Quinn possibly being interested in Sam. She didn't know how he would react knowing that they were official. "Are you okay?" Sam asked Quinn who seemed to be hesitating to go into the choir room. "Puck's back," Quinn whispered as Sam's face lost color.

Since the two had been dating for awhile Quinn told him the truth that Puck was Beth's father and that they didn't have any sort of relationship. "I just made a stupid mistake when I allowed him to sleep with me. He never cared for me...not like you do," Quinn said honestly as Sam listened to what she had to say. "So Puck's the father..." Sam said as Quinn nodded emotionally. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner but I was scared," Quinn said. "You told me there was nothing between you guys and I believe you. He kind of seemed like the type to try to get with every cheerleader if you ask me," Sam said honestly as Quinn seemed relieved, especially that he had taken the news so well.

"Do you want to skip practice? I can talk to Mr. Schue," Sam said as Quinn shook her head. "I'm going to have to face him sooner or later. I guess today would be that day," Quinn said as Sam took her hand supportingly as the two walked into the choir room together as Quinn tried her best not to make eye contact with Puck who didn't seem happy that Quinn and Sam were together.
