While the judges deliberated Quinn sat nervously backstage holding Sam's hand as Judy walked over to them carrying Beth. "There's my girl," Judy smiled hugging Quinn "You did amazing out there Quinnie." "Thank you mom. That means a lot," Quinn smiled a bit as Beth cooed at Quinn as Quinn took her. "Ma!" Beth grinned as Quinn held her close. "I hope I made you proud," Quinn said as Beth just smiled at her mother who seemed incredibly happy by her young daughter's response.
Puck then approached them. "What do you want?" Quinn said giving Puck a glare as Beth looked at him smiling a bit. "I didn't know our daughter was coming to the performance," Puck said. "My daughter," Quinn corrected giving him a look. "Wow...she's gotten so big," Puck said in shock looking at his daughter. "I thought I told you I didn't want you around her," Quinn said annoyed as Puck sighed. "I haven't been. I just wanted to see her...you know since she's here," Puck said as Quinn sighed. "Fine. You've seen her. Now go back to doing whatever it is you were up to before this," Quinn said annoyed. "Geez... why are you being so uptight about this?" Puck asked as Quinn raised her eyebrow. "Uptight? You have got to be kidding me," Quinn huffed. "No I'm not," Puck said folding his arms. "Yeah I messed up getting myself arrested, I know that. I've served my time and I'm willing to change." "You can make whatever changes you want. I'm not changing the fact that I don't want you around my baby," Quinn said as Puck sighed upset. Beth continued to look confused between her mother and Puck. She didn't know what it was her mom had against this guy who seemed perfectly fine to Beth. "Fine," Puck said as he stormed off as Quinn sighed relieved.
The New Directions were soon called out onstage as Quinn handed Beth back to her mother. Quinn stood onstage nervously as the winner of the Sectionals competition was announced. "And now, this year's head judge, associate director of the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles, Mister Pete Sznowski!" The announcer said as the crowd cheered as Pete came onstage. "Thank you, and thank you to all the groups who performed here today, we all had a serious, good time. You know what else, is a serious good time? Taking two minutes to save a life by filling out an organ donor card, because it's never too late, to donate. Drumroll please. In third place," Pete said with a pause before saying "the Hipsters!" The New Directions sighed of relief as the Hipster leader came up to get their third place trophy and shook Pete's hand. "Thank you, drive carefully. And now, the winner of this year's west central Sectionals is..." Pete said as the New Directions took a deep breath. "The New Directions! Congratulations," Pete said as the New Directions celebrated thrilled to have advanced onward to Regionals.
