Over the next few days Quinn obeyed her mother staying home with Beth. She hated the fact that she was no longer able to take her daughter over to the Puckermans but knew she'd be looking for a place to live if she did, not to mention that Sam wouldn't have been so fond of her spending time with Puck. She knew she had to tell him the truth when he came back into town and she could only hope he would be as understanding as she thought he would.
Beth had turned 10 months old and was learning to feed herself with a spoon. "Oh someone needs a bath," Quinn chuckled noticing that Beth was covered in jarred food. "No," Beth giggled. "Yes," Quinn said as she cleaned off Beth who complained a bit but let her mother wipe the food off of her. Quinn then picked Beth up and carried her to the bathroom where she ran her a bath. "Spash!" Beth grinned seeing the water running. "No we're not going to splash," Quinn said, shaking her head. "Yeah!" Beth exclaimed clapping her hands together. Quinn laughed as she felt the temperature of the water, making sure it wasn't too hot or too cold as she put Beth in giving her a bath.
As promised, Beth splashed around and played with her toys she had in the tub with her as Quinn washed her. Quinn didn't mind it though. She was glad to see her daughter enjoying herself, especially since she felt somewhat guilty that they really couldn't go anywhere after the incident of her mom finding out about the Puckermans. After she was done washing Beth, Quinn lifted her out of the tub and wrapped her in a towel, making sure her daughter was warm before getting her dressed.
It was New Year's Eve and Quinn was looking forward to see what 2011 had in store for her. 2010 had brought her so many amazing things from the Glee Club to her daughter that she really hoped that 2011 would do the same. She watched 'Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve' that year with Beth who seemed to happily clap along to the music that was playing and seemed to be wide awake. "You're not going to sleep anytime soon are you?" Quinn chuckled a bit noticing that it was getting close to midnight. "No!" Beth grinned as Quinn laughed. The door soon unlocked as her mom, Judy walked in, looking exhausted. "Long day at work?" Quinn asked her mom worriedly. "Like you wouldn't believe," Judy sighed before looking at Beth "What is she doing still up? She needs to go to bed!" Quinn sighed "I tried mom, she really likes watching the New Years Eve celebration," Quinn said honestly as Judy shook her head. "Beth, it's bed time," Judy said. "Nooooo," Beth whined getting upset and clinging onto Quinn. "Yes come on now. It's almost midnight," Judy said. "Mom, can't she just stay up for the countdown?" Quinn asked "You said it yourself it's almost midnight." Judy exhaled annoyed. "Fine. But if she's up all night she's your responsibility," Judy said as Quinn nodded. "Understood," Quinn said as the countdown began. "15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Quinn cheered along with the crowd as Beth clapped. "Happy New Year baby girl," Quinn smiled kissing Beth's forehead. "New Year!" Beth grinned. "Alright, yes happy new year," Judy said as she turned off the TV as Beth's lip quivered. "Now it's bed time," Judy insisted as Beth began to cry. "Shhh...it's okay baby girl," Quinn assured Beth trying to comfort the screaming toddler as Judy shook her head. "I'm going to bed. See you in the morning," Judy said as she shut her door, seemingly annoyed.
Beth whimpered and reached for the TV. "B, everyone's going to bed now," Quinn assured Beth. "No," Beth frowned. "Yes," Quinn said as Beth still seemed unhappy but was calming down. "Now let's head to bed, okay? We can have more fun in the morning okay?" Quinn said as Beth smiled. "Kay," Beth said rubbing her eyes as Quinn carried her up to her room. Quinn rocked Beth to sleep, humming softly to her as Beth began to drift off. Quinn put her down and tucked her in hoping that there were more good things to come in the year 2011.
