Chapter 18 - Something More

 Quinn returned home with Beth's gift. "Ma!" Beth exclaimed as she rushed over to Quinn. "Hey sweetie how have you been?" Quinn smiled down at her mini-me. "Good," Beth smiled then notice present "Present!" "Yes that is a present. It's from Sam," Quinn smiled as Beth eagerly opened the gift to find a new toy of Frosty the Snowman. "Frosty!" Beth squealed as she hugged the toy and it soon began to sing 'Frosty the Snowman' which Beth clapped her hands to grinning as the snowman sang. Quinn couldn't help but look impressed at the gift Sam had gotten Beth, he knew her well and the gift was incredibly thoughtful. She decided to send him a message to thank him for the gift.

Q: Beth just opened the gift and she loves her new Frosty that sings. It was so sweet of you to get that for her.

Sam: Only the best for my girls :).

Quinn couldn't help but smile at Sam's reply realizing now more than ever that she had gotten an incredible guy who loved not only her but embraced her daughter too. She knew how rare it is to find anyone who would accept her child, especially a high school boy who was a year behind her but Quinn was grateful for it. The two had been dating for about 4 months now and Quinn had been contemplating a lot about their relationship, especially since they were steady. For a long time she had been afraid of taking things too far, especially after she had gotten pregnant so young but there was something about the way she felt around Sam that made her let her guard down and lose those defenses she had put up.

He had been incredibly patient with her and had always accepted her pulling away even when they were heavily involved. Sam had wanted to see her cheerios uniform which Quinn obliged and put on which soon lead to a heated makeout session. "No..." Quinn said quickly pulling away as she felt herself getting lost in the heat of things as Sam sighed, clearly enjoying the moment as much as she was. "I'm sorry....I just can't go there," Quinn sighed as she smoothed her skirt. "I know..." Sam said as he laid back somewhat frustrated. "Trust me, it's not that I don't want to. Believe me, I want to. More than want to," Quinn admitted. "We could do a little something something," Sam smirked as Quinn shook her head. "A little something something always leads to something more. I've been there remember?" Quinn sighed. "I know...it's just...really had not doing stuff, especially with you in that uniform," Sam murmured as Quinn felt a chill down her spine, did he have to be so hot even when she was turning him down? "Maybe I should change...putting the uniform on was a bad idea," Quinn sighed getting up. Sam nodded thinking she had point and watched her walk away.

She had always wanted to be with him but feared once she started, she wouldn't be able to stop but the more she was with him, the more she felt like she didn't care and wanted to give it all up to him. It was the first time she had ever felt that way with anyone. When she and Finn dated, she cared about him but always felt like he was trying to rush things, especially sexually. Quinn hadn't let him get past second base as much as he wanted to. She felt dirty even letting him get that far, that was until Puck had taken her virginity after that drunken night. Once again she had felt dirty but in a different way, like Finn deserved his first time to be with someone else, not the girl who had given it up to his best friend which was why she hadn't slept with him. With Sam, he knew her past and he loved her still which was why she felt so secure with him. The more time she spent with him, the more she felt sure that she wanted to be with him. She knew in her heart that the time was right and decided to send Sam a message.

Q: Listen, I've been thinking...

Sam: About?

Q: Us. And you know....that thing we've almost done a few times.

Sam: I'm listening.

Q: I think I'm ready.

Sam: Really?
Q: Really.

Sam: Quinn that's amazing! You don't know how much that means to me.

Q: It means so much to me too. Which is why I want to make it special.

Sam: I do too...how are we going to do that exactly?

Q: Well Valentine's Day is around the corner and I might have been able to get us a reservation at the Wingate hotel....

Sam: Seriously?
Q: Seriously. What do you say? Do we have a date?

Sam: Oh yeah baby we have a date.

Quinn smiled down at the text message feeling more secure in her decision than ever before. She was going to have sex with Sam on Valentine's Day and for the first time, she felt good about her choice.
