Warning! This chapter has violence in it so... I just wanted to put a warning up. Xx
Four Months Later
"Genevieve! Genevieve! Genevieve! Genevieve!" I hear the fans chant from back stage. The make-up team are doing their final touch ups for my last song of the night and the hair team are doing the last minute touch ups on my blonde wig, which they made look like real hair. They give me the okay and the man working the microphones hands me one. I walk out onto the stage to hear the crowd roar, sending butterflies throughout my stomach.
"So did you guys like it?" I ask, with a roar of screams in return that consist of "you're amazing" and "I love you". That makes one person who loves me! I'll take it!
"Alright, we have one more song for you guys tonight. Thank you so much for coming out! Our last selection is entitled Honeymoon Avenue." I state before singing along with my band.
As I sing, I look around the crowd to see young girls and girls my age singing with me, which feels surreal. I am living a double life, one much like Hannah Montana, which is rather ironic since I live in Montana.
I thank everyone for coming and run off the stage after taking my bow. After the curtains close, the hair team takes off my wig and I feel my sweaty brown locks fall on my shoulders and down my back. I take my dress off and put on a tank top and shorts, preparing myself to drive home.
In the car, I turn on the radio to hear one of my songs and turn it off immediately. I can't listen to myself. After thirty minutes of driving I return home to a drunk mother lying on the couch, a high Step-Dad sitting next to her watching some type of sports show and a missing Step-Brother.
I haven't seen Jackson for three days. Ever since the day our parents married and he kissed me, things have always been awkward. That was my first kiss and he stole it from me.
Three days ago, I was home alone and bored, so I decided to do something completely out of character. I went rummaging through Daniel's drawers to look for my novel. He still hadn't given it back to me. When I finished looking through five drawers and see six more to go, I heard the door open.
"Isn't someone being a bit mischievous." Jackson said from behind me.
"Isn't someone being a bit nosy." I replied.
"Yeah still you." I continued to look through his desk and heard Jack chuckle. "You'll never find it."
"How do you know what I'm looking for?" I said in a straight tone.
"Because you're a geek and I know." I put the drawers back in order to look as if they hadn't been touched and turn to face Jackson, not knowing he was invading my personal bubble.
"I can keep this to myself. You being in here. My father never has to know." He said with a hint of darkness in his voice.
"What do you want?" I asked. Then, he started to lean into me and part his lips. "No. You're my Step-Brother, Jackson, I'm not doing this." I tried to walk past him, put he grabbed my arm and stopped me.
"You've turned me down twice, Summers, twice. I'm not letting there be a third time." I pulled away from him as hard as I could and he let go.
He hasn't been home since that night but have my parents noticed? Nope! I can't help but worry, he is my Step- Brother after all. But at the same time I'm so creeped out by him.
"Mom? Daniel?" I whisper.
"Shut the fuck up! Can't you see your mother's sleeping?" Daniel semi screams.
"You're the one screaming." I whisper.
"Did you just talk back to me?"
"No, sir." I say shyly. "I just wanted to let you know that your son has been missing for three days."
