Juliet
Four Months Later
"Ready in there, Juliet?" I hear Josh's voice enter the recording booth and I nod. "Okay. We are going acapella. Take it away."
I look up though the glass and see my team nodding at me. I smile at them and walk out of the booth.
"Nice run, Summers." Maris says.
"Thanks, Larson!" I smile back.
"So, tonight is the last concert of the tour." Josh says. "How do you feel?"
"I feel confident yet sad that it's over. I guess I can say that my first tour was a success."
"You definitely can." Maris says, bumping my shoulder. "I'm so proud of you, babes. My best friend is a super star." I smile and giggle to myself when Josh asks another question.
"So how's Greg?" Josh asks.
"I um..." I start to say.
"Did he propose yet?" Maris jumps to ask.
"What? No, Mar, we've only been dating for half a year."
"So what? The guy is obsessed with you." I smirk and then rub the back of my neck. "What is it?"
"I don't know how I feel."
"Do you love him?" Josh asks.
"I don't know. I like him a lot, but I don't feel that spark, you know?"
"Then he isn't the one. Kick him to the curb."
"Josh, I can't just leave him in the dust. Christmas is in three weeks."
"I can be his Christmas present." Maris mumbles. Josh and I both look at her, lifting our eyebrows and giving her a confused, disturbed look. "What? He's hot. Can you blame me?"
"How am I going to do this?" I ask them, taking out my phone.
"I'll do it. And I'll be there to soften the blow." Maris says, taking my phone.
"But I'm not sure if I want to do it."
"I've seen the way you look at him, Juliet. You don't look at him like you're in love. You don't look at him like you looked at Asht..."
"Josh, we agreed not so say the 'A' word." Maris interrupts him.
"It's fine, Mar."
"Do you miss him?" Josh asks.
"I'm not sure. I guess not knowing where or how he is is keeping my emotions in-tacked."
"Your emotions?"
"She means not knowing anything about him keeps her from missing him." Maris tells Josh.
"Josh is right." I say, changing topics from the A word to Greg. "I can't be with someone if I don't love them. This is going to be a bitchy move, but go ahead and call him Maris."
"Thank you!" She says, running out of the studio.
"Let's get some rehearsal in before the concert tonight." Josh says.
"Yes, sir."

Ashton
"Come on, Ashton! You're so slow!" Eric says as he walks at a fast pace down the street.
"May I remind you that I am still injured?" I yell to him.
I was released from the hospital four months ago, but still feel some side effects from the injuries I sustained. The doctor told me to always have a cane handy for support just incase my legs got weak. I usually walk with it just as a safety precaution, but I can't wait until I get the all clear in January.
Today, Chad and Eric are taking me out somewhere but they aren't telling me where. The two of them are now official officers, but I'm still their Lieutenant, even though I'm not in the action as much as I want to be.
"Will one of you tell me where we are going?" I ask.
"Nope! It's a surprise!" Chad says, grinning devilishly. We round a corner and I see a line that is a mile and a half long coming out of the Bellrose Theatre.
"What the hell?" I mumble under my breath when the two stop walking and stand at the end of the line. I stand next to them and lean against the wall. "What is this?"
"A concert." Chad replies
"There are probably one thousand teenage girls here. I don't feel like seeing a boy band."
"It's not a boy band."
"Then what is it?"
"Stop asking questions, Lieutenant." Eric says, causing me to raise my eyebrow at his tone. "All due respect."
We wait in line for about half an hour before we are allowed in. We locate our seats in the huge theatre and sit down, me being in the middle. I set my cane down on the ground and sit back in the comfortable seat. The boys still haven't told me who we are seeing so I'm trying to figure it out for myself by looking around at the audience.
"Never mind one thousand. There are probably about twenty thousand here. Look at how big this place is." I say.
"It's a sold out show." Eric replies.
"The performer must be nervous as hell." I say, looking over all of the people. I look a few rows up and see a group of girls giggling and smiling. I look over their faces and see one that looks familiar.
One that looks like me.
I decide not to say anything and to let my teenage sister be with her friends.
If my sister is at this concert then it's probably not anybody that I know. Everyone starts to take their seats and the lights dim slightly.
"You ready?" I hear Chad ask Eric.
"Oh, yeah." Eric answers. The two pound knuckles in-front of me and the lights shut off suddenly. The entire crowd starts screaming and I sit up straight, curiosity starting to eat at me. "You're welcome."
I look over to Eric who is sitting on my left and see him smiling. Just as I'm about to ask him what he means, I hear music start and the curtain opens to reveal dancers and a band. The crowd stands and starts screaming louder, but I can still see. The beginning of the song sounds familiar and I start to think. Then it hits me. I look up with my mouth wide open and stand up at the sound of an angel.
"Let's go, LA!" I hear the angel yell over the speakers. I look at the boys and see them smiling at me. Looking back at the stage, I see her take her stance in the middle and hear her gorgeous voice.
"Midnight, shadows
Where finding love is a battle.
But daylight, is so close
So don't you worry 'bout a thing.
We're gonna be alright."
