Ashton

Pulling up to the arena there are no cars parked outside. We line our cars up along the road and get out, walking to the entrance. I open the door for the others and then follow them to hear someone call my name.

"Which one of you is Lieutenant McAllister?" A man with a suit on asks. I step in-front of the officers.

"That would be me."

"Good. I need at least one man at each door. There are two in the front, three back stage and the dressing room door. I need the most experience to monitor who goes in and out of the dressing room. I guess that would be you, Lieutenant?"

"Yes, sir. Just let me get my men into position and then you can show me the way."

"Excellent!" He states. "They are rehearsing on stage now but she should be coming back to the dressing room in a few hours." I nod and turn to my men to direct them. I put McTate, Grimmes and Foster on the front, the two of them being our most experienced officers, and Stevens, Reid and Marks in the back to watch the stage doors. After giving them their assignments, I go back to the man in the front of the theatre and ask him to show me where to go. After walking down several corridors, I arrive in-front of a door that has a star on it.

"Just stand here and make sure nobody who is unauthorized,"

"I know the drill." I say, cutting him off. I can see the wings of the stage from where I am standing and I see Stevens and Marks staring at something.

"Alright, can we rehearse the opening number?" A faint man's voice says. I hear music turn on and the man starts counting four beat counts. He yells things like "great" or "watch your feet" or "it needs to be bigger!". I look over to the officers and see their jaws practically on the ground and their eyes wide.

"Snap out of it, boys." I yell to them. They look at me and then back at the performer.

"Lieutenant, I need your assistance lifting this." The man with the suit calls from the other hallway. I walk over to him and lift the desk up. I have no idea what he plans on using it for, but he must be pretty weak to not be able to lift this. I bring it to where he directs me and place it down gentle. When I walk back to the dressing room, I see some backup dancers standing outside of it. The celebrity must've went inside when I was lifting the desk.

Taking my position next to the door, I see them move away from the door and walk away. On the other side, I hear the performer doing different types of things to warm up her voice. From what I hear, she's not bad.

She's pretty good actually.

As I start to focus on her voice, I notice a man walking towards the door. I step in-front of it and he looks at me, almost offended.

"I'm the manager." He states. I move over slightly, only trying to do my job, and allow him access. He knocks on the door and yells to the girl. "We need you on the stage."

"Alright!" The girl shouts back, happily. The voice sounds familiar. I hear the girl getting closer to the door, singing a warm up that consists of singing "Woozy Woozy Woozy Woozy Woo" over and over again, getting higher and higher each time. I hear the door open as I look to the right to see a picture on the wall that I didn't notice before.

A girl dressed in a big white coat, baggy pants and a bra... Wait...

That face... where have I seen that face before?.

I hear the door open behind me and the girl's warmups get louder and closer. I look behind me and lock eyes with the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.

I hear a gasp escape both of our mouthes as it registers who we are standing in-front of.

Holy crap.

Juliet

Holy crap.
