The cafe was a small little place, but with a lot of people for this time of morning.

We pulled up to the curb, parking right before it. Ah Rin sighed, as I sat there with my shoulders hunched. I was nervous. I wouldn't deny it. How long had it been since I had been outside? Months?

The sun shone, but was covered by a mass of grey clouds. Was it going to rain? It was almost astonishing to look up into the clouds, to see the sun light spread out behind them and make them seem as if they were glowing.

The slam of the car door made me jump in my seat. I turned to see Ah Rin already out of her seat, and Stalking towards my side of the car. She opened it, holding out a hand to help me out.

I gulped, before slowly, I turned and  hung my legs out of the car, before sliding the crutches under my arms. I took a deep breath in, before I grabbed her hand. She pulled me up onto my feet, and I almost fell but she quickly righted me.

"Ah. Looks busy" she said with a sigh.

The suns warmth didn't touch my skin as I stood out in the side walk, something which I never thought I would be sad about. The fresh air though was exhilarating, and I took a deep breath of it in.

Together, Ah Rin and I walked into the cafe, a small chime sounding as we entered.

"Ah Rin!" Exclaimed a girl from behind the counter, wearing a brown apron, her black hair pulled back into a tight pony tail, two bangs framing the sides of her face.

"Chae-won" Ah Rin said with a smile, and her face completely changed, even the look in her eyes. "Wow, it's busy already? My god I have my work cut out for me."

She quickly came around from the bench, coming to Ah Rin's side and giving her a hug. She accepted in gracefully, and I just stood there awkwardly, trying not to topple forward.

Her friend, Chae-won pulled back then and looked at me, blinking for a moment before her eyes widened at the sight of me. "Oh my god...you're Jang Eu-Eu?"

I froze, not knowing who she was. She was taller than me, very tall, towering over both me and Ah Rin. She was very thin boned though, flat chested but athletic looking.

She seemed to be slightly offended that I didn't say anything, and she laughed softly and put a hand to her chest. "You probably don't remember me. I'm Park Chae-won, you were in my classes most of high school."

Chae-won...? She didn't seem familiar.

"I can't believe it's you" she said, in her eyes, a slight look of...was that disgust..? "It's been so long. Nearly seven years? My my. And you..." she seemed to struggle to think of something nice to say. "...haven't changed at all." A smile.

Her eyes then flickered to Ah Rin, and she gave her a look. The look made her eyes widen, and she laughed softly. I had no idea what was happening, but then Chae-won  winked at me.

"So you and Jang Eu-Eu? Hu?" She said to Ah Rin. "I never would of guess it. I always thought you'd get together with Kyounji!"

I remembered Kyounji. I couldn't not remember him. He was the star of the school, the one the girls wanted to be with, and the one the boys wanted to be. He was quite rough and wouldn't be afraid to say he didn't like you, but he always hung around Ah Rin's group of friends. I remember him more for the various black eyes and split lips he had given me.

Something flashed in Ah Rin's eyes. "Oh? Kyounji?" A small smile appeared on her lips. Although it seemed warm and kind, I could see the serpents grin beneath it. "He left Korea, didn't you know? He moved to America to pursue his basketball career. You know how much he loved that stuff. I sort of lost contact with him a few years back. But I think he's going good."
