Nothing nice or good can thrive,
You have to be the unstoppable darkness, If In this crook world, you want to survive.Nothing nice or good can thrive...
Nothing...
That's what my grandfather had told me. A Sasin himself. He visited me when I was young, my father going rigid and tense as he laid eyes on him. My Grandfather, despite his appearance, was more fitter and more powerful than my father would of ever been. I wasn't even sure if he was still alive. But the thing about my grandfather is that he didn't give two shits about me or my father.
My Grandfather was who ran Miso - the cult that worshiped Dae-byul. The god of the underworld. It would be a miracle if he was in fact, still alive.
My grandfather was calm, collected, soft spoken but one glare felt as if a blade was rammed through your chest.
But when he first saw me, the first thing he said to me was this.
"Your mother calls you Ah Rin?" He asked.
I had nodded.
"Ah Rin is such a beautiful name for a Sasin" he said in such a way I didn't know if he meant it as a good or bad thing. "Ah Rin..." his powerful, black eyes landed on me as he rested a hand on my shoulder. "You are the first female to be born of the Sasins. Your father believes you should be killed. However...I am curious to see how you turn out." His presence was overwhelming. His aura...frightening. "But Ah Rin, I tell you this. These words passed onto me by my grandfather, and his grandfather before that. 'Nothing nice or good can thrive,
You have to be the unstoppable darkness,
If In this crook world,
you want to survive'. Live by those words."He had removed his hand then, nodding softly as his white hair swayed. He then left, my father's scowling gaze following him until he had left.
For some reason, his words popped into my head again. I faltered, holding Hyung Ki by her neck in a death grip.
She was gargling and gagging, clawing at my arm and shredding it up, but I was still.
Why now did that come about again..?
I suddenly dropped Hyung Ki, looking back up to the ceiling to where I had smashed her down, through the floor and down to this level.
She spluttered and coughed, gritting her teeth. She looked up at me through her hair which hung in her face.
"You know my fighting style" She snarled.
I did. I had studied it, as my father had instructed. She was very predictable- very fast. If I hadn't been a Sasin, I would be dead. But I wasn't without injury. Bleeding gashes, bruises...
Nothing nice or good can thrive,
You have to be the unstoppable darkness, If In this crook world, you want to survive...She crawled towards me, gritting her teeth as she struggled to even drag herself.
"You're pathetic if you thought after twenty years you were still as good as you were. You've aged."
I turned and walked off, leaving her, knowing that I will kill her if I stayed any longer. She didn't end up pursue me.
For once. I didn't want to kill my prey.

I came to, gasping as suddenly I was pulled into reality. Bullets. Screaming. What had happened..?
I was crumpled beside Akumu, and I gasped as I jumped to my feet. That racket I thought I heard was no where, I couldn't hear it. There was silence. God, my head hurt. I held it with both hands as I tried to think of what had happened. Where was Do-Yoon?
