Ethan
I knew I looked stupid standing here like a hungry dog but I was trying to be a better person.
I was standing at Evelyn's doorstep, waiting for her to come out. Her dad had finally let her back home, as long as she went unnoticed.
I fought the urge to walk away and never stop. Maybe I'd walk until Texas and see Aunt Pattavina in Dallas. She was pretty cool.
The door clicked open. It was dark inside. "Okay. Let's go." Evelyn whispered.
I followed her down the steps. Her sneakers screeched, causing both her and I to wince. Damn.
We rushed, making sure we got around the block without any disturbances. After that, we strolled in silence.
I looked over at her. Her green eyes shone in the streetlights and her hair flowed a bit in the cool breeze. The sky was pretty dark and I wondered why exactly someone in their right mind would host a party this late.

"Ethan! You actually came!" Sapphire said, wrapping her arms around me.
"Uh, Yeah..." I said, pulling her off. She smelled like Bud Light and was obviously drunk.
"Come on! Let's dance. I promised you a night to remember, right?" She said. Oh, hell nah.
"I, Uh...where's Justin?" I asked, in dire need of a subject change.
She pointed to the bedroom and I tried my best not to puke on her heels.
"W-what's he doing in there?" I asked, scared to know.
She shrugged. "I don't know. But..." she placed her hand on my chest, "let's just say he's not alone."
I gagged.
I looked over at Evelyn. "You ever used a Play Station before?" I asked.
She smiled. "I'm a renowned expert." She said.
I smirked. "We'll see about that."
