Ethan
I could still feel her lips on mine when I reached home.
"Mom! I'm back!" I Said, placing my bag on the couch and heading towards the kitchen.
I stopped suddenly when I saw my mom leaning weakly on the counter.
"Hey, mom? Are you okay?" I asked.
She seemed startled but covered it up with a smile. "Ah, hello, Ethan. I'm fine. Was just thinking about your father and was a little upset. Nothing wrong." She said, her accent coming on lightly.
My mother was born in Hong Kong, and met my dad when she worked for UNICEF a few years back. My dad was from Italy, and fell in love with my mom at first sight.
They had been happily married...until a short while later after I became twelve. My dad died from cardiac arrest and it broke everything. My mom was in horrible shape, and her health was critical. She's much better now, though.
"Don't worry, mom. He's in a better place." I Said, giving her a hug.
She sighed. "Yes. He is."

I shut the bathroom door behind me. I had just come out of the shower and was freezing cold.
I walked into my room and shut the door. There was a chilly draft coming from my open window. The sun was just setting behind the horizon, and it was painting the sky with its colors.
I picked up my phone and pressed play on my music. Soon, the familiar tune of Lost In Japan met my ears.
I threw on a T-shirt and some sweatpants and flopped down on my bed.
I had only one person running through my head; Evelyn.
I couldn't stop thinking about her.
I was crazy for her...
I picked up my phone, dialing in her number.
"Ev, I need to see you."
