Evelyn
I took a deep breath and knocked on the door of my English class.
I was already ten minutes late, and I knew Mrs. Schleiermacher was not happy about it.
"Come in, Evelyn." She said, probably already planning out my murder.
I walked in timidly, wishing aliens could hurry up with their future abductions.
She tapped her glasses. "You're late, Evelyn."
I gulped.
"Ten minutes late to be exact."
Where are these freaking UFO's when you need them?!
I was about to beg her not to give me detention when suddenly the door burst open, revealing a panting, heaving and sweating Ethan Alfonso.
He ran a hand through his jet black hair, his eyes darting warily from Mrs. Schleiermacher to me and back.
"I see. You two decided to come late to my class, hmm? Some diabolical plan of yours?" She said.
"Well, you see Miss, I actually-" Ethan was cut off by the elderly lady holding up her hand.
"You're wasting precious time. I can only forgive one of you, and since, Mr. Alfonso, you were so very polite and decided to come even later, you get to decide."
I saw him gulp, and instincts made me do the same.
He sighed, looking wistfully into my eyes.
"Forgive her." He said, earning the stares of everyone there.
Except me. I turned away, not being able to look him in the eyes again.
