The days went on as usual. Wake up late, eat a light breakfast, watch some television, take a nap, then lunch. Sometimes after lunch, I would go over to my cousin Sabrina's house and we'd talk about almost anything and everything.

"But I just don't know if he likes me yet and of course I don't want to ask him or anything, because that's pushing it and I would seem really clingy. Jay, I don't know what to do!" She buried her face in her hands.

"Bri, its alright. Just wait until he says something or makes a move," I suggested, using my own experiences that I could relate to at the moment.

"Everybody says that but I know its not going to work. When has it ever worked? Honestly..." she should know. She has to know about me and Cal.

"Trust me. It actually happened a few days a-"

"Jay! What the hell? Why didn't you tell me sooner? Oh my god. Who's the guy? Do I know him?" she seemed really excited.

"Sorry. I wanted to really, but I don't know exactly at what point me and Calum are in our whatever we have going on," I sighed. I could feel my cheeks flush and turn hot.

"Calum? Like Calum Hood? Is it that guy that you're always hanging out with?" Her eyebrows furrowed.

"Yes...?"

"He seems... interesting," she tried to make it sound nice; didn't exactly work.

"Okay, why does everyone have something against him?" I raised my hands up in frustration. "He's not a bad guy. Yes, he has tattoos and ripped clothing but that's the style now. And plus, it doesn't really matter what he does with his body. It shouldn't matter to anyone else but him. He's perfect the way he is, with or without the inks, and that's why I love him, okay?"

Crap. The last seven words were not supposed to come out of my mouth.

"You love him?" Her mouth basically was touching the floor. I really have to start thinking before I speak.

"I don't know," my face fell into my lap and my stomach was fluttering. "I really don't know Bri. The other day, I think he was implying that he loved me, but is it love? Like we've known each other for years and he's the closest person I have to a friend, besides you of course, but you're family so that doesn't count really. But I feel something for him. I have no idea what the heck I feel," I started sweating by this point, and my heart was pumping really fast.

"Aw. Jay. That's so sweet. I'm happy for you though," she said in the most comforting voice, hugging me slightly.

"Where did he take you for your first date?"

Oh. That's a problem.

"We've never been on a date,"I mumbled quietly.

Once again, her eyes bulged out and her jaw dropped.

"How do you date someone who's never taken you on a date?" she pretty much yelled through the whole house.

"I really don't care if we go on dates or not. As long as we spend time with each other, I'm alright. I don't mind not doing the cliche things like a date every week or something. I just need him in my life," I spill. I've never felt this way for Cal; never. He's always been like a brother to me, and that's the main reason I questioned this. There was probably feelings the whole time, I just never realized it. Or didn't want to admit it.

My thoughts were disturbed due to my phone buzzing on the nightstand. I stood up and got it and saw a text from Cal.

"I miss youuu. Come to my place soon?"

"Sure :)"

"See you then babe."

My heart fluttered. He would call me that on occasion, but of course in playful terms. At least I thought they were playful terms, but because of recent events, seems like he was alluding to the fact that he wanted something more than friends.

"What are you smiling at?" Sabrina caught my cheeks blushing.

"Nothing. Calum just invited me o-" she pushed me off the bed lightly saying,

"Go! Have fun. Talk later and come by whenever. You know where the key is." She winked as we walked downstairs to the door. I gave her a goodbye hug and started walking over to Calum's house. Sabrina's house was barely a minute walk, and Calum's house was about two minutes from where I stay. The convenience helped immensely.

Very soon, I got to Cal's house and knocked on the door three times. I stuffed my hands back into my pockets, swinging on my heels, and as the door opened, my head lifted and it wasn't Calum at the door.

"Hi. Is um... Is Calum home?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly. The curly-haired boy nodded. A bandana was folded on his head that was covered with a dirty blonde shade, and he had sparkling hazel green-like eyes.

"Hi there. I'm Ashton. You must be Jaycee!" He stepped aside, allowing me to come in. "You know," he started closing the door, "Calum here, has talked so much about you. It's never-ending. 'Jaycee looked really beautiful today. Jaycee has the cutest laugh.' Honestly, it makes me sick, but you two are happy," he smiled, and we stopped in the living room. I took sight of the messy scene; soda cans everywhere, clothes on the couches, and then my eyes were driven towards the 3 boys on the couch. I've briefly met them, but never had a conversation with them. I waved, and Calum's eyes dragged from the television's to mine, and his face instantly brightened up, and a smile was plastered across his face, making me smile widely along with him.

"Jay. You made it!" He stood up and walked over and hugged me so tightly, wrapping both his arms around my torso. I was picked up off the ground, my legs bent as my arms wrapped around his neck, and we engaged in the largest embrace. He put me down after several seconds, my cheeks blushing and he had his cheeky smile. "Oh! Guys, this is Jaycee!" He stepped aside, exposing me to the rest of the guys, who all waved and stood up off the couch.

"Hi," I mumbled.

"Hi, I'm Michael." He had short blonde hair. Last time I saw him, which was not too long ago, I could've sworn it was a slightly light shade of purple.

"I'm Luke," a blonde-quiffed boy with blue eyes smiled at me. His smile was charming.

"So nice to meet you guys. Well, you two again," we chuckled. I need Cal to break the awkward scene.

"We were going to watch a movie. Jaycee, you can join us?" Luke suggested. I nodded with a smile, and they all took seats on the couch, as I removed my sneakers. I walked back and didn't see any space left.

"Oh guys. Move over for her," Ash said, and they attemped to but I giggled.

"No, its alright. I can sit on the ground," I smiled and as I walked past Calum, he grabbed my waist and pulled me down on him making me yelp. His head was beside mine, peaking over from my shoulder, and he whispered in my ear,

"Just sit with me." I positioned myself comfortably on his lap. I was more in between his legs though. My head was resting on his chest, and he put one of his legs over mine, pulling me closer, making my insides go wild. The movie was pretty boring, but the guys seemed to be enjoying it. "Bored?" Calum whispered in my ear again, making me shiver.

"Its alright. I don't mind," I smiled looking back at him, as he pecked my lips ever so softly. I was staring at the screen, as I felt Cal tracing patterns and words over my back, on my shirt. I tried figuring out what the letters were spelling out, and my focus led me to 'I love you' making my cheeks hot, and me smiling uncontrollably. I smiled at him, turning my head, and he pecked my lips again, using his biceps to pull me in closer to him, making smiles press against each other.

I really don't mind this.

It was those cute little acts of affection that made this boy so desirable.
