LUKE'S POV
I was bored out of my mind today as I had absolutely no plans. At least it was the weekend, so that meant Ashton wasn't going to summer classes today. I don't think any of the other guys had plans today, so I texted them all, asking if they wanted to come over to place to hang out and play some video games.
Cal: "Can I bring Jay over please?"
Me: "Yeah sure."
Cal: "Can she bring one of her friends as well?"
Me: "Yeahh. Bring as many people."
Cal: "Nah I swear it's just us three."
Me: "Teasing."
Ash: "I'll drop by in 10."
Mikey: "Be there soon."
I cleared up the couch, and brought some old shaggy pillows from the little basement and set them up in front of the television. There were some chip packets and cans of soda for us, so I brought them out of the cabinet and set them on the coffee table for the six of us; Ashton, Michael, Cal and his two guests, and myself.
Was I the worst boyfriend for not inviting my girlfriend to a get together with all my friends? Hell yes I was.
My fingers pressed on the screen calling up Lex, and she picked up after two rings.
"Hi Lukey!" God, I loved her voice.
"Hi princess. Want to come over today? Let's say in a half hour?" That would give me enough time to break the news, right before she met everyone.
"Sounds good. See you then. Bye," she squealed and hung up. I smiled and sighed. This was going to be the day that we released ourselves to my friends. My thoughts were disturbed by knocks on the door. "Don't be a whimp Luke," I whispered, walking towards the door, holding the doorknob. I took a deep breath in then out, and opened the door up, revealing a smile.
"Hi Lucas," Cal teased smiling at me, making me chuckle. I invited them inside, and we walked over in silence to the couch.
"Well are you gonna introduce me or...?" I decided somebody had to break the silence. The girls giggled and smiled at me, as I smiled back.
"Oh right. Well, you've met Jay," we nodded and smiled. "This is her cousin, Sabrina," she gave me her hand, and I shook it.
"You can call me Bri." I was about to introduce myself, but there were multiple knocks.
"Just a second." I opened up the door to a smiling Michael and Ashton, who jumped on me, giving me a brother hug.
"How's english been going for you?" I asked Ashton, as we walked to the couch to meet the other three. He had a pack of cans in his hand, that he was fiddling with.
"Pretty good. I saw this girl and holy fu-" he stopped mid sentence. I shook my head for a second, waiting for him to finish. "You know her?" He whispered, turning away from Cal and company, and facing his back to them.
"Who? The brunette with Jay and Cal?" He nodded really quickly. "I just met her. She's Jay's cousin. Her name is-"
"Bri, yeah I know. She's in my english class," he mumbled quietly. I grinned from ear to ear, biting down on my lip.
"Well, I can admit today's gonna be fun." A smirk was plastered across my face as I pat Ash on the shoulder, and walked to the couch, sitting in between Michael and Calum. I stared at Ashton, still in the same spot where I left him, and he stared at the ground, and I couldn't help but laugh to myself.
"Is he okay?" Bri whispered. This was getting even better. "Who is he anyways?" Yes.
"Oh the guy standing there?" I pointed, smirking, and Ash slowly turned around, with his lips pursed, faking a smile, while he gave me a death glance.
"Ashton?" Bri questioned. "Hi," she mumbled quietly, blushing.
"You know him?" Jay asked.
"Yeah. He's in English with me for the summer." Her voice was slightly shaky. Everyone nodded and had a smug across their mouths. Ashton started walking towards the couch and as he passed me, he kicked my ankle, making me wince and cringe. He took a seat beside Bri, and they exchanged smiles. Everyone was here, and gathered on the couches and pillows. Well, almost everyone.
'Okay Luke. Come out right now,' my thoughts were mixing in my head.
"Everyone here has a girl, and then there's me," Michael said in a frustrating voice. "Well, there's me and Luke," he nudged my side, and I smiled a fake one raising my eyebrows, then I looked down at the ground. "Right?" He asked me. I looked up and opened my mouth.
Words were about to come out, but the final knock on the door just happened.
"Who else did you invite?" Ashton said. I breathed in and out.
"Lex," I mumbled.
"Who?" Everyone mumbled.
I stood up and got the door, and turned around to see everyone tilting their heads, to grab a view of who was at the door. My sweaty palm held the doorknob and I twisted it open, and I immediately flashed a smile, as she jumped in my arms, hugging me. I stumbled backwards, clutching onto her waist and laughing.
"Hi Lukey," she whispered, her arms snaked around my neck, pulling me close, and she being on the tips of her toes.
"Hi princess," I kissed her nose softly, as she shut her eyes. "I have all my friends over. They know, okay? Sorry, it's really sudden." I mumbled, and her facial expression totally changed. Dammit. "I'm sorry," I whispered looking at the ground.
"Why are you sorry?" She cupped my cheek in her hand, and tilted my head towards her, forcing me to gaze into her eyes. "Don't be sorry. I'm really happy that you finally told them," she smiled.
"Well, I didn't exactly tell them. I just-"
"Luke! Will you hurry up?" I turned my head, chuckling at Michael. I turned back to Lex and held her soft hand in mine, walking over to the couch.
Everyone just stared at us, with wide eyes.
"So guys. This is Lex, the girl I mentioned earlier for a second." My heart was racing, I don't even know why.
"She is?" Calum questioned.
"My girlfriend."
