Chapter 13

I woke up, cleaning up my room a little before heading out to school.

Veronica was in her cheerleading outfit, when I entered the room. Toni entered not long after.

"Have you seen Cheryl?" Toni asked as Veronica shook her head.

"No, I haven't seen her in a while. Why?" Veronica asks.

"Because I think she gone missing." Toni said.

"Missing? What do you mean?" Veronica asks.

"You remember how paranoid Cheryl was at her slumber party? Saying that her mom and uncle was out to get her?" Toni asked

"Yeah, Go on." Veronica said.

"Well I think they did something to her." Toni said.

"What kind of something?" I ask. "Did her mom seem like she's up to something or behind something."

"Jayden, where do you think there's a time where Mrs. Blossom isn't up to something or behind something? She's almost always behind something." Veronica commented.

"Good point." I replied.

"Her mom did say that they sent her some all-girls boarding school in Switzerland." Toni said.

"Well that's easy enough, there's only one. Surval Montreux." Veronica said.

"Please, if Cheryl was in the Swiss Alps, she'd be posting parka selfies every hour. But her social media had been dead." Toni said.

"Wait, that's a sure sign of foul play." Veronica commented. "Whatever you need Toni, I'm in."

"Me too, what are best friends for? I got you!" I said.

"Thanks." Toni replied.

I made a list of the places that Cheryl could be at. Slipping out of school during lunch to check, I rode my bike around town.

First, I checked Pops. When I saw that the red head wasn't there, I moved on to the next place before checking the time to make sure that I wasn't going to be caught sneaking back into school.

When every place I thought Cheryl would be at was all crossed off, I went back to school. Slipping into the cafeteria, like a snake. No one noticed that I was gone for a short amount of time.

The bell rang, shortly after I got my Sprite from the vending machine, I put it into my locker. Going to my next class, which was with Veronica and Toni.

Everyone was reading the chapter that the teacher told us to read, when a voice came on the intercom. We all looked at each other as Toni was called down to the office.

Toni collected her stuff quickly and walked out of the room, Veronica and I looked at her as she walked out before the teacher directed us back to our books.

A little while after school had ended for the day, I met Toni and Veronica in the gym so that we could put our ideas together.

"I checked during lunch to see if Cheryl was hiding anywhere and I didn't find her." I said as I sat next to Toni. "Why did you get called to the office?"

"Someone called me." She said. "They said it was urgent so I took the call, it was Nana Blossom."

"As in Nana Rose Blossom?" Veronica and I both ask.
