Jayden's P.O.V.
I woke up and glanced at the clock across the room. It was quarter to one in the morning. I got up and made sure not to disturb Fangs. gave him a kiss on the side of his forehead before grabbing my jacket and beanie.
I slipped my phone in my pocket and walked down the hall to Toni's room, I knocked before opening the door.
"T?" I ask as Toni groaned.
"What, J?" She asks sitting up.
"I'm going to go home, I'll text you in the morning," I said.
Toni laid back down and closed her eyes.
"Alright. I'll tell Fangs where you went. Be safe, love you." She said.
"Love you too, T," I said before closing the door.
I walked out into the living room and opened the front door, it was pouring down rain.
"Shit," I said.
I walked out the door and closed it behind me. My aunt's trailer is towards the Evergreen Forest. My feet slosh as I run through mud puddles.
Once I reached the trailer I knew that my room had a loose window that I always climb through. So I climbed the side of the trailer and knocked the window loose to the point where I could slip into my room safely. My feet hit the floor of my bedroom and I turn around, grabbing the duck tape from my dresser. Taping the window back up.
"Jay? Is that you?" I heard my aunt's voice from a distance. Her footsteps got closer to my room and I froze. She never caught me sneaking in.
The door of my bedroom swings open, revealing my aunt.
"Aunt Melissa," I say as she walks towards me.
"My god, Jayden." She said as she hugged me.
"Let's get you cleaned up." My aunt said.
She helped me get some dry clothes and washed everything. She even hung my jacket up to dry. After she did all that, she let me sleep in my bed.
Before I lay down to sleep. I looked at the photo of my mother and I. I've met Penny Peabody before, but I swear to god, she looks like my mom.
I put the picture down on my nightstand and looked at my phone. The lock screen was of Fangs being his goofy self. I smiled as I stuck my phone in one of the drawers on my nightstand.
I took my Swiss army knife from the drawer and set it near my lamp. I took one more glance at the photo before closing my eyes. Drifting off into an endless night of slumber, or so I thought.
(Please listen to this amazing song, it connects this scene. If it turns off just turn it back on until they're done with fighting. Enjoy.)
I shot up and looked at the clock, it was only two in the morning. I heard screaming from down the hall. It could only mean one thing.
Ryan is home.
I got up and grabbed the knife from my dresser and my phone. I slipped on sweats and put my phone in my pocket. I opened the door and the yelling and screaming got louder. I crept towards the living room to see Ryan holding something, and my aunt with her hands up in the air. Ryan walked towards my aunt slowly and pinned her up against the wall. I could see blood spots on the floor.
