~Yoonmi POV~
"Is everything okay?" I asked
"Why wouldn't it be?" Yoongi responded
"You just look upset. Did I do something wrong?" I added
"Let me ask you a few questions." He repliedThat always scared me, whenever he started out something like that. He was usually not in a good mood. I could tell by the way he kept watching me and or holding the steering wheel. He kept his eyes locked on the road.
"Are you embarrassed that I am your brother?" He questioned
"No! Why would you think that?" I exclaimed
"That leads my next question. Have you lied to me? Like recently?" He also asked
"No.." I sighedI know he didn't mean to sigh out loud, but I could hear it. I just can't have him worry about me and his own career. I can't be the one responsible for breaking him. I couldn't live with myself. He's already given up and gone through too much.
We arrived back to my school, actually way later than lunch, so Yoongi sent me back in with a note. He knew Dad's signature by heart, just in case. I ran out of the car and to the building. One of the guards stopped me at the door and asked for my student ID. I handed it over and got into the halls. Yui stopped me halfway to the classroom."Look what we have here, a very late Yoonmi. What were you doing?" He asked me in a sarcastic tone
"None of your business. Can I leave now?" I replied
"Whatever." Yui grouchedI ran by her and entered the classroom quietly, trying not to get noticed, but one of Yui's friends gave me away.
"Yoonmi! Why are you so late? I hope you have a good explanation." My teacher announced
I got up from my desk and handed her the note. She rolled her eyes and shood me back to my desk.
"Where have you been? Was lunch that important?" Jaein inquired
"You know how it is. I barely see my brother." I whispered.I pulled out my book and stared down at it. If only they knew. The rest of my school day was filled with me barely paying attention and me trying to figure out if I was gonna tell Yoongi about the song and about how I've actually been living.
~Yoongi's POV~
I got back to the dorm and went straight for Namjoon's studio. I slipped in and shut the door.
"When were you going to tell me about her with music or were you not at all?" I questioned
"She came to me and asked me what I thought. Yoongi-hyung, in a way, I think she's scared of you. You should know better than to think that I would do this just to make you mad." Namjoon explained
"Is it good at least?" He asked
"The lyrics are good, yes. She has talent hyung. Why not encourage her?" He said to me
"I don't want her to go through the same thing that we all have. I'm not doing it to be an ass." I said while leaning back
"But the hard work and the pain is what makes the whole thing worth it. Being on stage, isn't that the best?" Namjoon pointed outAll I could do is nod. I love being in BTS and performing. I guess I'm being too much. She's already been through hell and back.
"Should I apologize?" I asked
"That's up to you hyung. Can I continue working with her on this song or do you want me to stop? I'll let it be your call." Namjoon added
"Continue. And please do not tell her I basically cornered you." I said
"Will do." Namjoon answered with a chuckle. He played me the melody before I left. Part of me is hurt that she wouldn't come to me about this, but then again, I'm happy that she went to one of the guys instead of a random producer. I'll call her later.
~Yoonmi's POV~
After school, Jaein and I went to the locker room to change for practice. Today, we decided to match wearing BTS shirts. I wore a 93 numbered shirt with Suga on the back for my brother, Jaein was a Namjoon fan, so she wore a 94 numbered shirt with RM on the back. Both shirts were back with white numbered and plain fronts. Our volleyball shoes were grey and black, since we got team matching shoes. My socks were pink; hers were red.
Jaein and I grab our bags and make our way to the court. As soon as we walk in, there is tension. I make my way to the center of the court to find Yui and her friends standing there in gear."What are you doing here?" I asked
"Yui and her club team wanted to do a scrimmage game to prepare themselves and us for games more. I agreed. I thought it would be fun." Our coach announcedI groaned and went back over to Jaein. We exchanged cringes and put our stuff down.
"Alright girls, normal lineup. Have fun and work hard." Our coach said
"Yes!" We all yelledThe next thing I knew was that I was face to face with Yui on opposite sides of the net.
