Chapter 8

Your P.O.V

I was in complete darkness, what's going on? I can see Light but he's behind bars, did someone find out? I can see an evidence room with the notebook there. No. Light is too smart to lose, right? I'm screaming now but no one can hear me, I see Light being taken into execution. No...I need to tell him I like him!

I'm suddenly being shaken awake by Light. "(Y/N)! Are you okay?"Light says holding my shoulders. I'm in his bed. I start sobbing, Light's alive.

"Shh it's okay, just a bad dream,"he whispers rocking me back and forth. I cry into his shoulders, it's only the middle of the night, we could go back to sleep. He held me close and kissed my forehead before I shut my eyes.

When the alarm goes off at seven, Light reaches out his arm to turn it off. He then slips his arm round me and asks,"So what happened last night?".

I stay silent for a moment, then I manage to say,"I had a nightmare of us getting caught...then..you died".

Light stroked my hair gently then whispered,"We won't get caught, and that's a promise my love".

I felt a little bit safer, we hugged for ten minutes then got up to get ready. It was now Thursday, only just a few days ago I hated him, now I feel like I can't part with him. I was still a bit scared of him at times, but I don't care.

Light's P.O.V

She had a nightmare of me dying, she truly does care about me. I won't let that nightmare become reality, we won't part until I die of old age. I will protect her no matter what happens.

I get changed then accidentally peek when she changes too. She didn't notice so I didn't say anything, I want to tell her she looks adorable but I think better of it.

Your P.O.V

After we get changed we head down to the kitchen where Mrs Yagami prepares breakfast for us. Sayu, Light's sister, greets me when I get there.

"Hey (Y/N)! So umm... Are you Light's girlfriend then or something?" She asks excitedly.

Light puts an arm round my shoulder and says,"Yes she is". Sayu squeals with glee then gets ready for school herself.

When we walk along to our school, people look in our direction, rumour spread fast that we were together.

All day Light was being over protective with me, whenever a girl talked to me he would shoo them away, if a guy dared to talk to me Light would grip my shoulder tightly and sometimes threaten them.

Just before lunch a new boy entered our classroom, his posture was poor and he had messy black hair. He was looking in our direction. The teacher introduced him as 'Ryuzaki'. He slumped over to our table and sat himself next to me.

Light was glaring at him coldly at this point, Ryuzaki turned to face us then asked us a few personal questions. He was then asking what we thought about Kira.

He looked into my eyes when he asked me. "U-um...-" I had no idea how to reply, am I supposed to pretend to be on Kira's side or not?

"Kira is disgusting,"Light answered for both of us. Ryuzaki stared, surprised for his answer.

The bell rang for lunch then Ryuzaki said with a straight face,"Well it was nice meeting you miss (Y/L/N), and Sir Yagami, I'll be off now. I hope to see you again". He waved goodbye and left the classroom.

Light got up then dragged me along with him, he led me to a toilet that was out of order, no one would be in there.

He held me by the shoulders and said,"I don't trust that guy (Y/N). Keep away from him, you hear?".

I nodded then he led me into the Canteen. Ryuzaki took a table close to ours, this angered Light. He was eating a slice of strawberry cake for lunch, after he was done eating he just stared in our direction.

"See what I mean?" Light whispered. What was with this new student? Is he accidentally daydreaming in our direction or is he observing us? I couldn't tell since his eyes looked so blank and he always kept a straight face.

He sat next to us in our next lesson too, he's doing this deliberately right? He kept talking to us whenever the teacher turned her back.

"What do you want Ryuzaki?" Light asked after a while. He stayed silent for a bit then finally replied,"Well since you are curious to know and I believe you two are against Kira, I will let you in on a secret".

He leaned in closer to us then whispered," I am L". The words repeated over and over in my head. He's lying right? L was the worldwide great detective, my heart started beating. If he finds out, we're screwed.

"Are you okay (Y/N)?" Ryuzaki asked me. Light glared at him for calling me by my first name already. I nodded trying to hide my worries.

Ryuzaki patted my back then said,"Don't worry I will catch Kira". Light looked mortified after seeing him touch me.

As soon as the lesson finished Light dragged me back to that out of order toilet. He kissed me, his tongue swishing around inside my mouth.

"Light what's up with you?-" he then groped one of my boobs, I moaned a little. "I'm the only one who can touch you," he said heading towards my neck again. There were fresh hickeys on my skin now.

He smirked when he saw the new ones, he hugged me then sniffed my hair. I think I knew why he was doing this, was he jealous of Ryuzaki?
