Chapter 18

Your P.O.V

We left the house to meet Ryuzaki. He asked us to meet with him in a cafe, probably so he could get easy access to cake. As expected he was eating a strawberry cake at one table when we got inside. He waved his hand then motioned for us to come sit with him.

"Thank you for sparing some time to come help me today,"he said. We nodded then Light ordered a coffee for himself and a hot chocolate for me with whipped cream in the shape of a heart on top. I think he was doing it on purpose in front of Ryuzaki but I appreciated it all the same.

Ryuzaki started explaining to us in a bit of a whisper that he believes Kira is in the Kanto region of Japan, that's where we are. He's telling us this to test us, what would be the point otherwise?

Something then caught our attention to the tiny screen on the wall of the cafe. It was urgent news, a message from 'Kira' who me and Light knew was the imposter.

This 'Kira' wanted to get everyone's attention by predicting more killings, what was the purpose of all this? Not a very smart person.

L's P.O.V

There it is again, there was another message like this one on yesterday evening. But how does Kira kill? If this person truly is Kira then that would drop suspicion of Light and (Y/N) because they're sitting right here with me now. No. I know my hunch is correct, this must be a third Kira.

Your P.O.V

L was focussing on something, does he know this is not really Kira? Either way it will buy us time to think of a way out of all this, he will be busy investigating this fake.

Light must have been right when he said that this Kira may have greater powers than his own. It looks like this person did the eye deal with a shinigami. Wait, doesn't that mean this person would be in our area right now? An announcer on Sakura TV just claimed that someone died in their building, a security guard. No one was filming the building on TV so this fake must be close right?

Ryuzaki then called someone on his phone to search the area, he had the same thoughts as me. "Sorry to cut this short, tomorrow?" He asked, we nodded then he headed out of the cafe. He must have told his team that the fake was at or close by Sakura TV.

We waited a few minutes to not seem suspicious then we sprinted back to our home. When we entered Light's room he told me," We must kill the fake now. This person will either get caught by L and spill everything about the notebooks or he/she will want to meet up with us. I'm not taking any chances, this person might try to blackmail us or ruin everything, already sounds like a stupid person anyway, this fake has sullied Kira's name!".

"But how would this person even find us?" I asked confused. "This fake has the eyes and is already in our area, he/she must have planned this to get close to us, they'd be able to tell who has and who doesn't have a notebook with the eyes," he explained.

Why did this person want to meet Light anyway? If he or she wanted to team up, then this was a really stupid way of doing it.

Light turned on his computer then hacked into Sakura TV's recordings from today. We watched all the recordings closely, seeing if anyone odd entered any rooms. After a while we saw a small blonde girl enter one room, she ran to pick up a scrap of paper that was left on the ground.

"That must be the fake! She went back because she's left some evidence behind, that's got to be a scrap of the notebook surely," Light said watching closely. She was carrying a backpack, when we saw her unzip it, she took out her own notebook. She wrote down a security guard's name who was running up to her, after she scribbled his name in the notebook she sprinted out of the building.

"What a stupid girl, how can she just take it out in public? Doesn't she know there are security cameras inside? We must delete this recording, don't want L to find this, it will just give him another hint,"Light said.

Before he deleted it I took another look at this girl, I swear I recognise her face from somewhere.. it was Misa! "It's Misa Misa! She's the famous model, her full name is Misa Amane". Light stood still for a while then started laughing a bit maniacally.

"She certainly is a stupid girl! What a bimbo, she entered a building filled with cameras and pulled out her own death note, and didn't even try to hide her face even though she's someone so famous!" Light laughed. He smiled evilly then wrote down her name. "That will teach you to mess with Kira".
