Chapter 20

Your P.O.V

I woke up feeling terribly sick, I sprinted to the toilet to throw up. I didn't have a cold, I guess I had too much cake last night. I wasn't going to let this ruin today though, it was now Christmas Day.

I came walking back to his bedroom slowly, holding my stomach. Light sat up in bed then asked,"You okay?". I nodded and sat back down beside him. "Merry Christmas (Y/N),"Light said planting a kiss onto my lips. I smiled and kissed him back.

He then got out of bed and took out a gift bag hidden behind his desk. He passed the bag over to me smiling. "You may open your gift now,"he said taking a seat next to me to watch.

The first thing I pulled out was some rose scented perfume, soap and shampoo. And then there was a small (F/C) purse with money inside. "You may treat yourself today my love,"Light said. There was one more thing right at the bottom of the bag, I picked it up to read the front. The label read Pregnancy Test.

I stared at it for a while remembering this morning when I was sick for no clear reason. "Oh god, that's what it was," I said to myself. "What what was?" Light asked confused.

"I was sick this morning, I don't feel ill, I didn't know what it was," I replied. We had unprotected sex exactly a week ago now, I can't believe I didn't guess.
"Really? Go take the test," Light said a little excited.

I took the test and it came back positive, I was going to have a baby. Light's eyes beamed and he hugged me tight smiling. "I swear I'll never leave you to be a single mother, I love you so much (Y/N). What a Christmas miracle," he said. I smiled and had tears of joy in my eyes, I hugged him back, holding him tight.

He stroked me just underneath my tummy, and kissed it. We agreed that we wouldn't find out the gender and wait to find out when it comes. Light put an extra jacket on me before we went out shopping. He held me closer than before, being extra-protective.

I carried my new purse with me and chose a new outfit and a film to watch later. I then realised something then said," I didn't give you your present!". Light shook his head, then said misunderstanding,"Don't waste your money on me".

I held his arm then replied,"No, I've already bought you a present, I hid it back at home a week ago. Remember when you thought I ran away?". Light looked down with a guilty face. "Man I feel stupid, how could I not trust you?"he said.

I kissed his cheek and said,"It's okay Light. It's in the past now. Let's go home and fetch it". He nodded and let me drag him home. I found the tiny box it was left in and handed it to him. He opened it up to find a watch inside. I pointed out the hiding place where he could slip in a scrap of paper, he smiled. "Thank you (Y/N), I shall wear this everyday," he said slipping it round his wrist. We then shared a kiss then went back downstairs to help out Light's mum with the Christmas dinner.

After an hour or so we served up the food. Light's dad was tired, slumping back in his chair a little, he let Light carve the turkey for everyone. We didn't know when a good time was to bring up the baby talk, would they be pleased or dismiss me? In the end we kept quiet, we will try again another time.

After dinner Light took me to the park. We sat down on a bench, it was pretty dark now but I wasn't scared with him around. We started making jokes about our parents, I then said,"Heh, wait till my dad finds out what you've done to me". Light laughed nervously but then wrapped one arm round me. We stared up into the night sky, I was hoping to see a shooting star. I would wish for this night not to end.
