Epilogue

Your P.O.V

It was September now, I'm laying down on our bed while Light is whispering little things to my tummy. I'm in the third trimester now, the baby is due in a few days.

I glance at the bedroom wall, it has our wedding photo hung up carefully. We got married two months ago now, it was a lovely day to remember. I remember the morning of my wedding day, Sayu plaiting strands of my hair and hanging little rosebuds from it. My parents came to the wedding too, my mum cried quite a lot. I remember Light saying "I do" proudly while holding my hands and staring into my soul.

We were prepared and ready for this baby, Light took a job as a detective, he was good at his work so he's earned a lot. We've got the second notebook back from Mikami, we didn't kill him since we knew he wouldn't tell anyone, he has no proof it was us anyway. Light gave me ownership of the second notebook, I have my own shinigami now (Rem).

Light never did send that letter to Mikami, for seeking out and killing L. To our surprise L lowered our suspicion even further. He told us that he believed if we were Kira, we would have killed him after leaving. I guess it was a wise choice I made.

Light and I got off the bed and sat on a chair opposite each other while watching TV. He wasn't concentrating on the TV though, he was watching me instead. He rested his head on one hand and gazed into my eyes. His brown eyes were twinkling. He then beckoned me to come sit with him.

Light's P.O.V

I pull her onto my lap and hold her gently, cuddling up in her hair. Everything is almost complete, a lot of countries are starting to accept Kira, I have the wife of my dreams and now a baby on the way. I smiled and kiss her cheek then whisper,"I love you (Y/N)".

She smiles then replies,"I love you t-". She suddenly clutches her front in pain, I wrap an arm round her. "Are you okay?"I asked.

Your P.O.V

Light's starting to look a little worried. "I-I think the baby is coming,"I gasped. Light's eyes widened with shock then he quickly helped me walk out of the house and into his car. I didn't expect this to happen now, this baby will be a few days early.

Hours later while I was in the hospital a long time, the baby finally decided to come out. Light held my hand firmly, trying to comfort me. I cried a lot but was so happy and relieved when it came out.

It was a little boy. I held him in my arms and cradled him gently. He had (E/C) eyes like mine and little tufts of light brown hair, just like Light's. "Look, he takes after you,"I said stroking the baby's hair. Light smiled and cuddled the baby for himself, it was sweet seeing him act fatherly. He then said,"He takes after you too, look at those gorgeous eyes".

We then discussed what to name him. "What about Light-Junior?"Light asked. I raised an eyebrow then said,"That's the best you can come up with?". We both laughed but was set on the idea. We called him LJ for short, and we would all start a new life together.
