Chapter 31

Your P.O.V

I opened my eyes to hear the alarm going off, I wait for Light to switch it off but it's still ringing. I sit up in bed but then my head is pushed back down, Light's arm was wrapped around me, watching me sleep. He reached out his hand to turn it off, I remember that I can't get out of bed because of the handcuffs.

He kisses my forehead then says,"Good morning". He started stroking my hair, this time holding a handful and running his fingers through it, I remembered that he bathed me last night.

He got out of bed and started getting changed, he was going to start college today. I thought about school and my friends, I've slowly drifted apart from them since Light kidnapped me. He wanted all the attention to himself.

I tried stretching my arms and yawned. "Um, can you take this off now?" I asked with a huff, rattling the chain. Light looked over at me and smirked, he adjusted his tie then sat beside me.

"Why darling?"he asked still smirking. I sighed then said,"Uh, I need to go to college".

"College?"he repeated. I nodded my head then he chuckled a little. "No my dear, you're staying home. I need you here so I know you're safe, we won't have many classes together at college so this way will make me feel more relaxed,"he said gently holding my arm.

"Well, I'm going to have a shit education then. Why do I have to wear this?"I asked rattling the chain once more. Light's smirk stretched, he held my arm closer to his face, he breathed in my scent. "Because I love seeing you like this, so helpless,"he replied running the tip of his nose along my arm.

He then stuck out his tongue and ran it all the way from my wrist to my upper arm making me flinch. He started kissing the area where my bruise was from when he punched me, that was a week ago now but it still showed.

He started sucking on the bruise, it hurt me a little but I didn't tell him, I didn't want another bruise to appear. When he was done he made me sit on his lap, then he started brushing my hair gently. "I'll be back when college is over,"he whispered in my ear, he then pressed a kiss to it then left the room.

I wasn't going to sit here for 6-8 hours straight, what if I needed the toilet? I waited for ten minutes to make sure he left for good then I glanced in every direction looking for the key. I saw it left by the window sill. I sidled my way across the bed and reached for the key.

I could only just manage to grab it then I freed myself. I stood up and stretched properly this time. I was really thirsty so I decided to go get myself a drink. When I opened the door I saw Light standing there, his arms folded.

"Going somewhere?"he asked me. He looked a little cross. I gasped and took a step back. "I thought I could trust you (Y/N)! How could you try to leave me?!" He yelled.

"I didn't try to leave! I needed a drink, you just left me there on the bed, what did you expect? What if I needed to go to the bathroom?" I said still wary of him incase he slapped.

"Do you really think I'm so heartless? Of course I wouldn't leave you to dehydrate or pee yourself, I was testing you to see if you tried to leave," Light said getting angry.

"Well I didn't know that, did I? I swear I didn't try to escape,"I said holding my hands up in front of me. I started trembling with fear, I heard him laugh a little.

He reached out his hand to touch me but I slapped it away quickly then ran past him down the stairs. I suddenly lost my balance and fell forwards to the ground, my head immediately started throbbing badly and my vision went blurry. Pain shot up one of my arms making me cry. I could hear Light's voice and him trying to comfort me.

I woke up in a white room, I couldn't move but I felt Light's hand holding onto mine. "(Y/N)?" He whispered softly. I tried sitting up but it made my head hurt. "Hey hey don't move, take it easy,"Light said now stroking my cheek with one finger.

I soon realised I was in a hospital, in a bed. There were roses tucked beside me, I went to reach for them but my arm felt heavier than usual. My right arm was in a cast and sling while Light was holding my left hand. "Feeling better?"he asked me.

I let go of his hand to rub my eyes, I then mumbled,"What happened?". Light looked a little sad then replied,"You tripped down the stairs remember?". I certainly did remember now, I was trying to avoid him so I wouldn't get smacked then fell front first down the steps. I started breathing heavily remembering it happen, it was scary.

Light soothed me and wrapped an arm round me to calm me down. "It's okay,"he whispered. "You're safe now. I'm so sorry for scaring you, that was stupid".

I held his hand with my good arm as an 'I forgive you' gesture. He smiled and stayed with me in the hospital for hours until they let me go.

When we got outside the hospital, Light held my hand tight and led me down a quiet road. We enjoyed the fresh air and the slight breeze around us. "You know, the flowers are now blooming again and it's getting a bit warmer. Did you want to go for a picnic tomorrow?" Light asked me.

I smiled and nodded, I loved picnics, I haven't had one since a few years ago with my parents.
