Ashton's POV——3 Weeks later

"Hey Raegan," I said as I began leaving roughly the hundredth voicemail since the night of the album release party when she up and disappeared. "It's been 3 about weeks since you disappeared. I still don't know why you left the party. I wish you would return my calls because I want to know what happened. Did I do something to upset you? If I did, I'm sorry and I wish you let me know what I did." I paused as I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose with my freehand. "Honestly I'm worried about you. Can you at least please let me know you're okay." I hesitated before finally ending the failed call. I took a seat on the edge of my hotel bed that wasn't covered in luggage.

We finally landed in Japan to start the first part of the tour and I really didn't think about the time zone when it came to placing the call and what time it might be back in California, but in the end it really didn't matter because she hadn't returned anything of mine over the last few weeks. I don't know why I even still attempted to contact her.

I guess in the end I just wanted to know why she left that night and why she literally fell off the face of the earth to me. I've thought over everything that went down that night and I don't know what I could have done wrong for her to do this to me.

"No answer again?" I heard Calum's voice as he swung open the door.

I shook my head while tossing my phone aside. "How did you know I was calling her?"

"You become distant when you're thinking about her." He answered honestly as he took a seat beside me. "Plus you turned down a beer to come in here alone. It was kind of obvious what you were doing."

"It's got me fucked up, mate." I whispered to my closest friend. "I can't help but think about what I could have possibly done for her to just leave and avoid me. I thought her and I had this thing starting to happen. There was chemistry and this bond, but now it's as though I never existed to her."

"Maybe everything was too much for her, lifestyle wise. The small bit of fame that came along with you saving her and you two becoming close scared her and she freaked out. It's not you, Ash. Just let her go, mate."

"I wish it was that easy. I miss her." I sadly said as Calum patted my back.

I went MIA again and I'm soooo sorry. I felt bad so I decided to make a quick short update. I feel bad just leaving to guys hanging... I need my butt kicked 😩
