" what the fuck Ruby!" I screamed, seeing what ruby had just done " I'm free to do whatever you know" she replied but her voice got shy at the end " just because they shaved my hair for surgery, it's not automatically means you'd do the same" whining trying not to yell since my head still hurt, even after a week of my hospital departure. She shrugged " I wanted to shave it too but aunt Lucille suggested this haircut " running her fingers in her newly cut hair, I puffed my cheeks, I wanted to be there when she cuts it, " what about the modeling agency thing? What would they say if they suddenly found that the girl they are expecting is now has a pixie cut?" She shrugged again " they won't call, don't be so sure that they'll pick me, plus I didn't only cut my hair because you did, I've always wanted a boy cut " I nod understanding "it looked awesome on you by the way " I smiled walking to hug her gently since my head feels like an egg, she smiled sheepishly hugging me back " my badass shorty" she whispered. My heart leaped in my chest when she said ' my badass' and my cheeks were as red as a tomato.
After a while of us just embracing each other silently I spoke " I have to go back to school tomorrow "she let go frowning and I had to title my head up to meet her face "but you still get headaches, I'm sure you can stay at home for another week, I don't think it's a good idea to get back to school while you still in pain" she rambled, " Ruby, I'm fine, I promise, plus I'm bored and I kinda miss school" she just rolled her eyes opening her mouth to add something but my look told her that I don't want to hear it. I smiled ruffling her short soft hair. little by little, she is transforming to the Ruby rose that I knew in my real time, which somehow is scaring me. I can easily fight my feelings and attraction when she was younger but with time, it became harder, my gaze toward her gets longer and I blush! whenever she compliments me.

walking in the school halls, catching people staring and whispering but I couldn't care less, my head pounds a little from walking and any sort of movement makes me need painkillers a lot more than usual. Finally, I made it to the classroom, where the teacher nodded to me and let me take my usual place no question asked. During the classes, students steal weary glances at me, some even trying to compliment my " new look " as if I chose it. At lunch, Jin was the only one at our table whereas Ruby is nowhere to be seen. We waited for her but she never showed up, even to our shared French class, when school was over she came running to me only to tell me that she has plans with her football team after school and do not wait to pick her up. I was a little bit hurt but I brush it off.
