guys. 1000 fucking reads. what the fuck why do you even like this story. thank everyone so so much. as much as I wanted this story to stay accurate to time line, this chapter will feature some characters that don't quite belong. kind of a filler chapter bc I wanna put out a few this week so I can possibly throw in a Christmas surprise 👀 also I finally decided on where I want this fic to go, so my guess is we'll have her all wrapped up in approx 10-12 more chapters.
Shoutout to @jbash2005 and @TJtigress for their votes and super kind words of support!! It's people like you guys that keep me updating this story

"I'm not getting out."
"Y/N, come on."
The looming pile of bricks in front of you seemed to stare into your soul, completely removing any of your previously found confidence. You'd been up since the early hours of the morning preparing yourself for this moment. Patrick had even given you a pep-talk that could have inspired anyone to take on the world.
"Patrick, It's scary."
"The bell rings in 10 minutes," Patrick responded, his voice lined with sympathy. Being an anxious dork himself, he was aware of your social fears.
You were out of excuses. In a moment of desperation, you huffed and crossed your arms over your chest in a childlike manner. You accompanied your new stature with a pouty lip and held your nose into the sky.
Patrick rolled his eyes and smiled at your ridiculousness.
"Alright, don't say I didn't warn you."
With that statement, Patrick undid his seat belt and opened the driver's side door. This sparked your attention, causing you break your pose.
"What are you doing?" you quizzed, a bit unsettled. Patrick said nothing, instead continuing to exit his vehicle. Before you could fully process what was happening, the door to the passenger side swung open, and Patrick stood over you unbuckling your seat belt.
"Let's go," he muttered, wrapping one arm under your knees and another around your back.
"Patrick!" you screeched as you were lifted from the seat. You instinctively flung your arms around Patrick's neck as he removed you from the car.
"I can't believe you," you laughed, keeping a tight grip around the boy. He gently sat you down, closing the door behind you.
"Ready now?" he quizzed, smiling devilishly at his actions. You rolled your eyes, taking his hand.
"Show me the way, Trick."
With that, the two of you strolled towards the large brick building hand in hand. Patrick retained a stride full of confidence as he marched across the parking lot towards the large groups of mingling teenagers. You on the other hand made sure not to meet eyes with anyone or make any sudden movements, as if they would attack at any given moment.
High school had never been your forte, but since you had grown up at your previous school it wasn't too terrible. This, however, was a whole new place. This was also twice the size of your old school, which would be a totally new experience.
"Hey, you two finally made it!" a familiar voice called. Standing a small distance away was Joe with a bag slumped over his shoulder. He stood waiting beside a blonde female adorned in tight black clothing.
"Not by choice," Patrick informed, casting you a smile. "I had to physically remove her from the vehicle."
You shyly bit your lip and chuckled before adding, "Yeah, I don't wanna be here."
