___________

(MICHAELS POV)

I walked into the small cafe, It was a vintage-themed cafe, filled with antique tea-cups and its own little aesthetics. I dug my hands that were covered in gloves that only went to the beginning of my fingers into my pocket of my red hoodie, taking my ear buds out. I approached the line and whistled quietly to myself, I was behind a.. really cute boy. His body was covered in freckles, his hair a dusty brown that went into messy curls, but he looked good in it. And ocean eyes that you could drown in, he was tapping his foot, looking up at the menu.

"I'll just take a tall vanilla bean cream coffee please." (aka my favvv) He pointed towards the menu, the cashier nodded and pushed buttons into the cash register.

"Anything else?"

"No thanks." The boy said nervously, trying to be polite.

"That'll be 5.99$." The cashier stated, looking up at the nervous boy. He reached into the pockets of his black ripped jeans, but felt nothing from what I saw. He scrambled in his pockets and started to panic.

"I-I don't have my wallet.." He said, scratching the back of his neck and shrugging. He looked down and sighed, I felt bad for the boy. I walked beside him, placing a twenty dollar bill on the counter.

"I'll pay, keep the change. I'll have the same thing he's having." I smiled at the cashier, and then at the freckled boy. Wow, he was cuter up close. Blush covered his cheeks and he smiled at me. The cashier nodded and put it into the register, the boy pulled me into the waiting section of the counter.

"T-Thank you.. uh.."

"Michael, Michael Mell." I put out my hand for him to shake, he blushed and shook my hand.

"I'm.. Jeremy. Jeremy Heere."

"Here?"

"No, like, Heere. With two E's in the middle." Jeremy giggled, I laughed and then noticed the mark on his neck.

"Here you go, boys. Have a good day!" The cashier handed me and Jeremy our coffee's, Jeremy thanked him and took a sip of the steaming coffee. I smelled the coffee, wow, this boy has good taste in coffee.

"Would you care to sit with me?" Jeremy smiled, pointing over to a table outside with two seats. I nodded, we both walked out into the fresh summer air, it was pitch dark out, but the bright fairy lights that hung outside of the cafe lightened the tables. He continued to sip his drink and hummed happily, I kept staring at his neck.. He had the same birth mark as me? As my momma told me, your soul mate has your birth mark in the exact same shape, and the exact same spot.

"What's that on your neck?" I pointed to him, he swallowed his coffee and lowered it onto the table.

"Oh, just my birth mark." He smiled, I moved my hoodie down a bit to reveal my neck, his eyes widened. I could tell he could see that me and him both have the same birth mark, exact shape, exact place. Oh my god, we are soul mates.

"We are.."

"..Soul mates?" I finished his sentence, I put my coffee down on the table and stared at him, his eyes swirled with some.. white sparkle, and I felt my body get goosebumps. I blushed and ran a hand through my hair.

"Can I.. t-try something?" He asked, this is so weird, a random stranger that I just payed for, is my apparent soulmate. You would believe how much me and him were blushing. I nodded slowly, he leaned over the table, closer to my face.

"C-Can I kiss you?" He said quietly, I leaned over the table slightly and pulled on his sweatshirt, connecting our lips. Yup, they fit like two lost puzzle pieces that finally found each other. He hummed happily and smiled in the kiss, I also smiled. We pulled away, our faces still deathly close to each other.

"Wow.." Jeremy sighed, smiling at me. I smirked and rested our foreheads together.

"You realize I payed for you because I thought you were cute, right?" I giggled, he chuckled and rolled his eyes jokingly.

"I think I can tell." He smirked too, I pulled him in for another blissful kiss.
