Michael and Jeremy sat in the basement, playing AOTD and the room filled with profanities and screaming for each other to watch out for the digital zombies. Eventually they both died, Michael laid back on his beanbag and groaned in frustration. Jeremy sat up and stared at the floor, putting aside his controller.

"Hey, Mike.." Jeremy looked over at him, Michael was on his phone and he let out a hum in response.

"What's a.. soulmate?" Jeremy sighed, Michael looked over at him, raising his eyebrow.

"Why?" Michael chuckled, sitting up and running a hand through his slicked back hair.

"I-I'm just curious..?" Jeremy said, it came out as a question. Michael looked at the TV screen with a small smile.

"It's uh, well its like a best friend but more." Michael shrugged, Jeremy kept staring at him.

"It's the one person in the world that knows you better than anyone else." Michael looked over at the freckled boy and smiled, Jeremy's face flushed up a bit just from that cute smile. It was unbearable how much he loved that smile.

"It's someone who makes you a better person.." Michael trailed off, looking at the floor.

"Actually, they don't make you a better person, you do that yourself. Because they inspire you." He chuckled, pushing his glasses up to his nose and laying back down on the bean-bag.

"A soulmate is someone you can carry with you." Michael twiddled his fingers, looking up at the ceiling. Once again, Jeremy was just staring and content with it.

"It's the one person who knew you and accepted you and.." He trailed off.

"believe in you before anyone else did, or when no one else would." He giggled.

"And no matter what happens you'll always love them." Michael said, his smile had faded away a bit. From that sentence his mind went to the bathroom incident, and how he still loved Jeremy and he hated himself for it.

"Nothing could ever change that." He sighed, a small frown appeared on his face. Jeremy raised his eyebrow in confusion. There was silence, but soon Michael had tears building up in his eyes and he pushed his glasses up so he could cover his eyes. Jeremy caught on to why he was crying, the halloween party. The whole Squip incident had just been done and over with, and it was a few weeks later after the whole situation. Michael still had trauma, anxiety, and nightmares because of it.

"Michael, I'm so sorry.." Jeremy quickly scooted closer to him, trying to soothe him.

"No, no.. It's okay.. I'm okay.." Michael fake smiled, his eyes red from crying quietly. Jeremy frowned, Michael didn't deserve what had happened that night. He was always there for him, and never left his side, no matter what.

"No, your not okay. I'm really, really, really sorry about that night and the whole situation. I did it all for a stupid girl, and turns out she didn't even like me back!" Jeremy exclaimed, Michael giggled a bit.

"I forgive you, Jeremy. You've already apologized ten billion times.." Michael chuckled, wiping tears from his cheeks. He wasn't crying anymore. Jeremy had a small smile on his face as he spread his arms out, Michael instantly pulled him into a tight hug and nuzzled his head into his shoulder, letting out small sniffles. Jeremy buried his face into Michael's hair, enjoying this moment.

"You've always been my favourite person." Jeremy smiled, Michael laughed and pulled away just so their faces were close.

"Is it really true.. I'm your favowite person?" He rubbed his nose against Jeremy's nose, resting their foreheads together. Jeremy giggled and nodded. There was a silence of intimate staring into each other's eyes, the tips of their noses against one another. The mood had changed, from sad, to silly, to.. whatever this was.

The only noise was the light rain outside, and the quiet theme song of Apocalypse of the Damned. Michael slowly leaned in a bit closer, wanting to close the small gap between the two. Jeremy leaned into Michael's face and their lips connected slowly, Jeremy cupping Michael's cheek and brushing a strand of hair behind his ear. They both pulled away slowly, savouring each other's taste of the others lips. The two quickly noticed the situation, and scrambled away from each other, rambling out words that seemed to be gibberish and blushing intensely.

Michael pulled his hood up and pulled on the strings, hiding his face. Jeremy covered his face with his hands.

"IM-SORRY-I-DONT-KNOW-WHY-I-DID-THAT!" Michael blurted out, his voice muffled from his hood.

"I-DONT-KNOW-WHY-I-DID-THAT-EITHER!" Jeremy screeched, his voice cracking like it usually does. The two boys being flustered and rambling words went on for what felt like hours, until they finally calmed down and both stared opposite directions from each other. Not knowing on how to react.

"S-So.. um.." Michael looked at the ceiling, scratching the back of his neck.

"We.."

"..Kissed."

"Y-Yea.." Jeremy stuttered, all that his mind was going on about is how much he weirdly loved that kiss, and wanted to do it again so badly. Maybe even a little more than that. The awkward silence continued, Jeremy turned around, opened his mouth to speak but quickly closed it.

"D-Do you want to continue video g-games?" Michael turned over to him, shrugging and his hood still up, but the strings loosened so his face was showing.

"N-No, actually.." Jeremy trailed off, Michael raised his eyebrow.

"I k-kinda.. god, how do I say this without sounding weird.." Jeremy bit his lip, Michael's face flushed up even more-- if that was even possible by now. Michael's love for Jeremy was fervid.

"I want t-to.. do that.. a-again..?" Jeremy said slowly, it came out as a question. Michael let out a sound of surprise and nervousness.

"I-I mean only if you want to-!"

"Um, y-yea. I actually kinda want that t-too.." Michael interrupted him and shrugged. The boys stared at each other, only a few seconds later to be leaning in slowly to each others faces. The two slowly connected lips, except the kiss was more blissful and passionate.

Jeremy hummed happily as he crawled onto Michael's lap, straddling him. Both of them had been praying for this moment for so long, and they didn't even know it. Michael grabbed Jeremy's waist and pulled their bodies closer together, Jeremy cupped both of his cheeks as they smiled in the kiss. They pulled away once again and had goofy smiles on their faces.

"Wow.." Jeremy whispered, Michael chuckled.

"I didn't know you were such a good kisser, Heere." Michael smirked, Jeremy blushed and hit him playfully.

"Shut up." He giggled.

"Make me." Michael teased and stuck his tongue out at Jeremy, Jeremy grinned and pulled him into another blissful kiss.

The night went on with cuddling, stealing kisses from each other, video games, Netflix, and finally, both of them falling asleep in each others embrace.

Both of them happy to now be official Boyf Riends.
