This is a request by SketchCole, I have never played the 'Pocky Game' so if I haven't done this right then sorry. Also I'm sorry if it looks rushed, I'm finding it really difficult to write anything now, it feels like a chore. Anyway, enjoy.
Pairing: Connor x Reader
Scene Valentines day, first kiss while playing the pocky game
It had been some months since the successful, peaceful protesting of android rights and Valentine's day was just around the corner for the citizens of Detroit. Many humans were buying chocolate ready for the day for their loved ones, while the androids, or at least some of them, researched what Valentine's day was about.
One of these androids, who also happened to be the last android to be built at Cyberlife and was currently working at Detroit Police Station, was named Connor, he had been researching none stop on how to win over a certain human who also worked there as well.
Unfortunately, Connor had a really bad habit of just watching his crush, go about their daily work, as Hank would call it, 'stalking'.
But for Connor personally, this was a normal thing for him, and he found himself doing it more often than usual. After the Android revolution you had joined the DPD in the hopes to help androids get the peace they deeply deserved, and after having watched and work with them for some time, he had quickly come to the conclusion of having feelings towards you, since Hank so obviously had to point it out.
Or in Hank's words, he was smitten and acting like a lovesick puppy, odd choice of words but then again this was Hank we're talking about.
It was Valentines Day, and the sun was way too bright and cheerful for something as dark and depressing as Hank and Connor's work with the criminals and the dead. Right now they were busy with a case that had them spending restless nights and huge cups of coffee while they tried to figure it out, unfortunately when Hank asked Conner if he could get him a coffee, Connor had to tell him that he would have to get it elsewhere as the coffee machine was broken, Hank mumbled something under his breath before giving Connor some money for the nearest coffee shop while he continued trying to find any clue that could help them solve the case.
Ignoring the tingling sensation in his system while walking straight to the cafe, Conner noticed a few couples walking past him on his side of the road, doing things that seemed so simple yet could still hold a lot of meaning behind the action, he believed this is what humans called 'actions speak louder than words'. It made his artificial heartache for wanting to do something similar with his crush.
However he stopped in his tracks when he noticed a specific couple, and Android and a human, sitting in a bench at the park, it made Connor wonder if he could ever have that with a human, with HIS human. That would be a sight to see, wouldn't it?
He continued on further up the path when he heard laughter on another bench, once again his curiosity got the better of him, so when as he got closer to observe the laughter, he noticed that it came from two humans who seem to be having some fun with some type of, stick? No, that couldn't be right.
Scanning the box that was placed on the bench, Connor realised that the object was something called, Pocky. What an odd name for human food.
However he was intrigued even more when the male partner pulls out a pack and proceeds to open it, then he pulls out a strange stick looking item/snack and places it in between their faces. Right now Connor had forgotten about the world around him as he watched on, seeing them begin biting at each end of the snack and getting closer with each bite they took, unfortunately, their heads changed so that he couldn't see what happened when they reached the middle, and so, he left the scene.
