"Did you see the posting!? They're scouting for the next group of trainees!" Excitement filled the air at JYP Academy. That's how things ran here. The students here are all hopeful students aspiring to become idols. The academy is like a normal school but they focus on all the essential skills idols need, and twice a year, entertainment officials come and scout the students for the next group of trainees. Then, they transfer to the actual JYP Entertainment building to start real training to hopefully debut.
"You know it's the first year we're eligible to audition so we better impress the panel," Jaebum calmly said to his friend Mark.
"Yeah we'll practice even harder starting today," Mark replied. Jaebum, or JB as some called him, was Mark's best friend and a junior just like him. He was the first friend Mark made after moving to Korea to attend this school from the U.S. Both were ecstatic but also a bit nervous about the posting. Only juniors and seniors could audition, and it was their first year they were eligible. It was time to put everything they had learned and practiced from the past two years to good use.
"I'll text Youngjae and Yugyeom to make sure they come to practice later," Jaebum remarked. The two boys stared at the posting, determination filling their eyes.
Suddenly, loud screams broke through the crowd, ending the whispers about the auditions. "Oh my god look it's Jackson Wang!"
"He's definitely going to make the trainees this year! He's so handsome, so talented, oh my gosh!" Girls could be heard screaming from down the hallway as Jackson approached. He was a tall, somewhat muscular young man from Hong Kong. Not too far behind him lagged Kunpimook, more commonly known as Bambam. He was tall, slender and always known to be Jackson's, right-hand man. He too would be in the auditions this year.
The anticipation for auditions was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. Now more than ever people would step up to show their talents in order to try and become trainees and little did Mark know his life was about to change in more ways than one.
