You were totally astounded. There you are, in the middle of the street, with your legs, glued firlmy on the ground. It feelt like the signals from your brain to your leg muscles, barricaded you from moving. " How rude can someone really be? " that was the only thing your mind was able to explain for you at the moment. " It's true what the folks, or the population is telling about their ruthless, cold being life ".

A wave of anxiety hit you, internally. Partly, beacuse you've got jilted by this nasty man, and because you were so sympathetic in the begining, giving these men another chance to positively appeal themselves for others, and perhaps, or maybe, at least one of them could show the opposite for what, or who they really represented.

" Move out of the way, women! "

Roar the man, who was driving a wagon. Immediately, you freed the road by moving to the side, and let the large-sized wagon to pass. It was worthless to ponder on what happened earlier, you just have to, unwillingly accept the fact that you were wrong.

With a deep disappointment, you walked your way back to the Motel. Meanwhile, you caught Mary-Beth, crossing the street, rushing to your direction.

" Y/N! Guess what news I've received ", she sounded impulsive. A strange look crept upon your face.

" What kind of news Mary? "  you wondered.

" You remember that drunken bastard that night, who confronted me and you on the street. He's now locked up in jail, for murdering a young woman in Rodeo. Can you belive that? "  she said, joyful.

You couldn't blame Mary for her happiness, about him beeing caught by the law, in fact, you were sharing the same joy, which swept over your current downhearted emotion. And to get rid of the heavy burden you were carrying on your shoulder, for constantly being worried that the jerk would appear and hurt you two, in order to fulfil his revenge, was now becoming a relief in your sight by letting that thought vanish.

" Well, he deserved it, that pig ". You responded, half smiling at her.

Mary could read between the lines, that something wasen't right with you. She's been knowing you for a long time, to figure out whenever you get bothered, or upset about something.

" You look unhappy Y/N, is something wrong? "  her cheering mood immediately switched to a concern look by your current state.

You would love to tell her what occurred back there with that man and so on, while she was away, busy in the shop. But you knew she would think that you have lost your mind, and probably say something mean, or depressing about them again. Besides, your proud ego didn't allow you to admit that you've been ditched by an outlaw. Therefore, you declined her question, by acting you were fine.

" I'm alright, don't worry ".

" Are you sure? "

You nodded.

" Yes, let's get inside ".

Mary-Beth went ahead to browse through the guest list on the bulletin board for today's customers. You were standing next to her.

" How does it look? "  you asked curiously. She peeked back and forward, and said.

" Well, it looks pretty empty for today ".

Then she kept on browsing for tomorrow's list, when you interrupted her by asking about the gang bandits.

" Mary, what more do you know about the O'Driscolls? "

She glared at you for a short while, and asked.

" Why are you so keen to know all of sudden? thought you weren't interested about those crooks ".

She was right, why do you care? but a miniscule of information wouldn't hurt, it might enhance your knowledge about them and their lifestyle, and perhaps, link you a bit closer to that mysterious man. Even tho he mistreated you in an abhorrent way, you could still feel a weak sting of trust, or genuineness within him.

" For general information, that's all ", you came up with a hasty answer.

" I've got lack of information to give you when it comes to villains overall. But, since the O'Driscolls are having a bad reputation in this country, the news reaches everyone, whether you like it or not ".

You were listening patiently to her speech.

" Their leader is named Colm. O'Driscoll. A cold blooded, brutal maniac, who execute the civilian, or any other human, ocuppying his way, showing no mercy ".

The goosebumps marked the skin on your arms when she emphasized her sentence. But somehow, you find it also exciting, which was giving you the spirit to keep on questioning.

" Do you recognise other gangs except the O'Driscolls? "

She shrugged her shoulders.

" Not what I'm aware of, but there sure are, this country is huge ... why are you so curious Y/N? Really, since when did you become so intrigued in gangs and their pathetic lives? "

Your blushed, and flickered your hand in the air.

" Just cause ", you lied.

She leaned her head closer to yours, decreasing the tone in her voice.

" A tip from me, don't waste your brain cells on them lunatics, it's not worth it, at all ".

She then turned away, and left you alone in the lobby. " Why are you so naive Y/N? what is luring you to that man? he's a bad and untamed outlaw, but there's something, behind those outstanding eyes, which were telling you that he's not like them ".

" Miss Y/N, are you waiting for better days? get back up to your room ".

The owner entered the reception, and cracked your bubble of speculations, by shooing you away. You obeyed his command without starting a dialogue, and walked upstairs.
