May 11th is a date I'll always remember because of the events that took place, and for how absolutely shocked I was to see everything play out.
Before you go and jump to conclusions, it wasn't something necessarily bad...Just, like I said, shocking.
I suppose if I had been paying more attention I wouldn't have been so caught off guard. But I'm an oblivious teenage girl, some things are bound to escape my notice at times.
Before I get into what happened I'll go back to the start of my day, which began, like usual at school. The sky was that kind of dark and gloomy that said rain was coming soon. I hadn't spoken to Aaron much since our first half naked make out session.
I was still worried about his hands and didn't want to bother him with texting. I guess I was probably giving him space too without realizing it...
That whole thing about having his heart broken by some other girl had sparked my curiosity until my brain was on fire. I've obviously assumed Aaron's had other girlfriends, (He's too gorgeous to not have dated), but he used the 'L' word.
He said he loved this girl, so she must have meant a lot to him. Who was she? Did she even go to our school? When did they date? And most importantly, what did she do to break his heart?
So many unanswered questions. Sigh. It felt like every time I figured out something new about Aaron, more secrets popped up. I had to be patient. If he wanted to tell me, he would, I just had to wait.
By the way, waiting sucks. Most of the morning flew by in a blur. Except in World History where Mr. Goodman had assigned us a three page long essay due by the end of the week and I had made a loud annoyed sound, and he asked if I would like to spend lunch in detention.
I muttered out a 'no thanks' and class continued. Scott was being unusually quiet, which should have told me something was up but, you know, oblivious.
I didn't bother asking if anything was wrong, it probably had to do with football practice so I just figured he'd tell me if it was bad.
On my way to lunch through the crowded hall I happened to spot Aaron by his locker. I couldn't go over to him because of all the people but I did get his attention.
Once he noticed me his eyes did a rather slow drag up from my waist until they finally made it to my face. It felt like his gaze was actually touching me, and it was heavy...Possibly a bit hot too. By the time he did reach my eyes I was blushing like crazy.
There was a smile on his lips when he gave me a slight nod before heading off to lunch himself. I let out a sigh.
"How pathetic." A voice sneered from behind me. I turned to see Holly smiling vindictively. "And you accused me of being a slut." She said. "What are you even talking about?" I demanded, stepping out of the way of other students.
"I heard about your little dating scheme going on, seeing two guys at the same time, wow. I can't believe you'd do this to poor Scott, if you're that unsure of your feelings you should just give him to me, I'll at least be able to fill his needs."
"H-how do you know-" "Oh come on, everyone knows about it Chloe, you're not very good at hiding how flushed you get when the blonde one looks at you." She said with a smirk.
I sputtered about for a moment before deciding to just turn and get away from her. People were staring. "I can take real good care of Scott for you Chloe! Just remember that!" She called.
I hurried to find a seat in the caffeteria, a few people still whispering and glancing in my direction. Stupid Holly. I seriously wouldn't mind if she disappeared off the surface of the planet. That's a little dramatic, maybe just disappeared from this town, yeah.
