APEP

Apep or Apophis was a deity who was considered the oppenent of the goddess Ma'at as he embodied chaos and disorder. He is said to be the son of the goddess Neith, who was the first and the prime creator of the universe and she governs how it functions, and Apep is also the brother of Ra.

In early art, he is depicted as a great snake or serpent, which earned him titles such as Serpent from the Nile and Evil Lizard. Because Ra was the solar deity and bringer of light, Apep was considered to be his greatest enemy. Despite being described as a giant snake, he is sometimes depicted as a crocodile.

Apep's creation was said to be a consequence of Ra's birth; in some myths, he's described to be born from Ra's umbilical cord. This suggests that evil is a consequence of an individual's own struggles against non-existence in Egyptian theology.
