chapter 3

Hannah's POV

So, it has been like two hours since all that stuff went down with Tyler. I'm still confused. But, I guess we are going to try "this whole more than friends thing." Whatever that means. I wish I knew more of what is going on in Tyler's mind. I was walking to the arena because the concert starts in like, I checked my watch, 1 1/2 hours.  

"RUBY! OVER HERE! PLEASE!" I heard a girl shouting at me, so I looked over. Oh, it's just one of the boys' fans. I love them so much. I relate to every fan in the clique, because I am just one of them. Thank gosh a majority of the clique likes me because they could totally choose to hate me. Face it, I'm a girl that always gets to hangout with their idols, crushes, etc. I would hate me if I was them... but that's what makes the clique so great. They aren't a hateful group, unless necessary. I hope they don't start hating me if they find out about "this whole more than friends thing" with Tyler. Oh man. 

"Hey guys! How are you? How long have you been out here camping?" I asked as I approached the 20 fans on the other side of the barrier. I always liked to talk to them as much as possible because they are 1) entertaining. 2) sweet. 3) they love and support the same two lame boys that I love and support. 

"We all have been here for two days! We are waiting for the doors to open!" A girl with blue hair said to me, smiling. 

"WOW TWO DAYS HOLY CRAP!" I exclaimed. "You guys are awesome!" 

"Can we take a picture with you please Ruby?!" A few of them asked me. I agreed and offered to take a group picture on my phone that I could tweet out. A parent took the picture for us as I posed with them all. 

"I will tweet this out! Guys, tweet the hashtag right now #tacoruby and I will follow all of you under the hashtag!" They all agreed as I walked off, into the arena. I was smiling because I love talking to them. I pulled out my phone to tweet the picture out.

"@rubyroyalty: It was such a blast to meet you guys!!!! Thanks for being A M A Z I N G ! <3 (picture attached)" 

I went to my search bar and typed my created hashtag #tacoruby and saw that about 25 people have used it, so I clicked on each user to follow them as I continued to walk backstage. I heard the doors open to the arena and a bunch of screaming. Show time! 

Tyler's POV

I haven't stopped smiling in like an hour, since Ruby left after we agreed to try dating. Well, I hope she knows it's dating. We didn't really call it that. Ouch, my cheeks hurt from smiling. This is great. Who would have thought that an hour ago I was having the biggest episode, but now I've never been happier? It's all because of Ruby. MY Ruby. 

I was getting ready for the show and changing my clothes. I finished doing that then looked at myself in the mirror. I was getting ready to fix my hair before my phone chirped. Ruby tweeted.

I instantly smiled to myself. I RTed and liked the picture. I love how close she is with the clique. It is amazing. She is amazing. 

"Hey Tyler, doors just opened. You're on in an hour!" Mark called to me from the door. "Josh is asking for you also, by the way." He added. I nodded and put my Vans on, then walked to Josh's room. 

"What's up, Josh? You ready for tonight?" I asked, sitting on his couch. He was still getting his clothes on. 

"Yeah man, always am. I can't wait. So, are you feeling better?" He asked with concern, sitting next to me. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell him what was going on with Ruby and I. The last time he saw me, I was definitely not stable. 

"Dude," I smiled before continuing. "I am feeling so much better. She came to me and she told me she wasn't rejecting me before, she was just confused. She kissed me again and at first I thought it was just to stop me from freaking out more, but she said she actually wanted to. She said we can try dating. Dude, I can't even feel my face right now!" I smiled big at him and pointed at him. He immediately side hugged me. 

"I am so happy for you, man. You guys will be perfect for each other, for heck's sake you've been in love with her for 3 years now. But know, if you hurt her... I'm on her side and will still kick your ass!" He joked, but not really. I know how protective he is of Ruby. I am too. We both are because of her ex boyfriend, Logan. Stupid Logan. He didn't know what he had when he had Ruby, he didn't cherish it. 

"I would never hurt her in a million years, you know that." I said. Josh patted my knee before standing up to finish getting ready. 

"Where is she, by the way? She's usually here by now helping us get ready." He chuckled, I shrugged. That is true, she's always here before the doors open. Maybe she got caught up with fans, or something. I hope she's okay. I hope I didn't scare her away and now everything is going to be differen- 

"HEY GUYS!" Ruby shouted, jumping from around the door frame. Josh and I both jumped, causing her to laugh. She sat down next to me on the couch and smiled at me. I smiled back. She looked up at Josh. "Bro, you missed a button. Come here!" She gestured for him to walk over to her, which he did. She proceeded to unbutton his shirt and fix the buttons. I felt heat in my cheeks. Why am I feeling mad right now? Or maybe jealous? Calm down, Tyler. It's just Josh.... 

"There ya go, mister!" Ruby said, patting his belly and standing up. "Ty, stand up so I can inspect you." She demanded. I chuckled and obeyed. She gestured for me to spin around so she can see it all. She claims she does this to make sure we don't go on stage looking like fools. Honestly, we need her to do this every time or else, we would look like fools. She clapped. "You look great!" 

"Thanks Ruby!" I exclaimed, probably too excitedly and wrapped her in a hug. She hugged back. She smelled so good and she felt so good in my arms. She let go of the hug quickly. 

"Is there any good snacks today?" She turned to the snack table, causing me to laugh. "OOOOOH COOKIES!!!!!" 

"Cookies?! Where?!" Josh said, turning around so fast. They both ran up to the table and ate a cookie. 

"Ty, they have white macadamia nut here if you want one!" She said, remembering my love for that type of cookie. She remembers everything. 

"Yes please," I said and she handed me one. Our fingertips brushed against each other's slightly and she looked up at me. I looked into her eyes, blushing. What is happening to me? You shouldn't blush in front of Ruby, she's been in your life for 9 years! She looked away and at Josh. 

"Josh, are we still getting coffee before the show?" 

"Yes, want to go right now? We only have like an hour and they have coffee downstairs so we don't have to leave the arena." He suggested, looking at her.

"Sounds good. Let's go. Bye Ty! I'll be back to wish you luck before you go on!" She waved and walked out of the room, Josh behind her who also waved at me. 

I smiled and bit my lip, "Bye guys" I waved as they left. 

Gosh, I need to stop smiling so much before my cheeks fall off.
