Same Mistakes (sequel to Kidnapped By One Direction)

Chapter 5

Ally's POV

"How does it feel being a celebrity now?" A younger girl asks in the crowd. I've been at the studio for a few hours already and for the last twenty-five minutes, I've been answering crowd questions.

"I don't really see myself like that. I'm just happy that my platforms allow me to spread my message and positivity to others" I try to sound invested in what I'm saying but I have to think about my every word. Even though what I'm saying is true it's still hard trying to make sure everything I say comes off in the right way.

"Please take a washroom break now if you need to as we come to a close on the crowd questions. The show will start in just five minutes with a very special guest coming on stage shortly." An announcer comes over the speakers and I recognize the voice as Brian's.

"The guest is backstage in the open right now so just sit tight and we'll start soon" Jessica's voice comes through my earpiece. I was told the earpiece only works for me to hear people meaning I can't say anything back to her.

I feel my phone buzz in my pocket and figured I may as well spend the last five minutes before showtime on my phone. But I regret it as soon as I pull it out of my rompers pocket, Niall's name pops up on my screen.

'Good luck with your show, I'm sure it will be a fun one'

The text was sent only two minutes ago but I decide it's probably best to just ignore him. I dismiss the message and put my phone down no longer in the mood to look at anything on my phone. I look back out into the crowd and it looks like everyone who had left to go to the washroom have come back into the room.

"Let's get started, everyone has taken their seats and your lines will show up on the teleprompter" Jessica's voice comes through my earpiece once again. I watch as the words appear and speak them as clearly as I can while still acting like I'm talking to the audience.

'Welcome everyone! Tonight is our first show meaning there are going to be plenty of surprises. First of all, we have a special guest coming out that I haven't been told anything about. So, let's give a loud welcome to our mystery guest!" Everyone in the crowd claps and watches the screen with a question mark bouncing around.

The door swings open with a ton of brightly smoke coming out along with it. A silhouette walks from the doorway into the middle of the smoke, the guest is most likely a guy based on body shape.

The smoke fades into the air and I begin to see our surprise guest. My eyes lock with bright blue piercing ones. I swear if I weren't on live television I would have fainted from shock. Standing in the fading smoke is the one and only Niall Horan.

"I'm so excited to be here and hang out with all of you while supporting an old friend!" Niall addresses the crowd making them get very excited before he comes over and sits across from me. I find myself just staring him until I hear Jessica in my ear.

"What the Hell are you doing! Read your lines!" I shake my head bringing it away from Niall and back to the teleprompter I'm supposed to be looking at.

"Welcome, Niall! So would you like to tell the crowd your second surprise?" I make my eyes meet his again briefly.

"Every single one of you are going home with a signed copy of my second solo album!" A wave of screams washes through the crowd again.

"Next up we have a game for three lucky people to play against Niall. The winner going home with an extra special prize pack! The losers also get to go home with a special prize! Seats 124, 23 and 102 come on down to the stage and for everyone watching at home we'll be right back after these short messages." I try to stay calm and not get anxious about having Niall only a few feet away from me. I've just got to focus on the crowd and keep things civilized, I can't mess this job up.
