Chapter 16

Ally's POV

"Where have you been?" Louis asks when I pull away

"Liam kidnapped me" I swallow hard trying to keep myself contained.

"You can't be serious" I just nod my head.

"Harry helped him, they had some nasty plan to send me to Alaska as a captive and hire people to watch me. I convinced Harry to help me get out though and I escaped this morning." I pause for a second and bring my hands to my head. "I must sound insane."

"No, I believe you. I just don't understand how they could've done that" Louis puts his hand gently on my arm trying to comfort me.

"It's because I'm the reason Niall isn't wanting to continue the band. I promised Harry I'd tell him to keep the band together and I think that's the only reason he helped me."

"We've got to explain this all to Niall he's been worried sick and it's doing his leg no good, he's been pacing and driving around everywhere." Louis stands and I'm guessing it's to go get his car keys.

"Lou?" my voice comes out quiet.

"Yeah?"

"I promised Harry I wouldn't tell Niall and I don't know what he'll do if we tell him" Louis makes his way back to the couch and places a hand on my cheek.

"Then I'll tell him. You're safe now, alright? I'm not going to let them take you again or hurt you and you're dreaming if you think Niall would." I nod my head shakily.

"Now lets head to Niall's" he holds up the car keys and I stand to follow him.

"What are we going to do with Liam's car?" I ask.

"It can just stay here, for now. I'll figure out what to do with it later." I fish the car keys out of my pocket and hand them to Louis.

When we reach the garage I'm surprised to see Louis' car is normal. It's not a sports car but an everyday car that you wouldn't be able to pick out of a parking lot. The lights flash and I hear the click of the locks popping up. I follow Louis' actions and get into the car the seats are comfy and I find myself finally being able to just let my guard down and relax my body. However, my mind continues to panic thinking about telling Niall everything. I have a feeling he's not going to talk to Liam or even Harry again or at least for a very long time. Somewhere my mind fights back those thoughts telling me they deserve it and that they were both equally involved.

"Do you want to tell me more or do you want to wait till we get there?" Louis asks bringing the car to the street.

"I don't think I can repeat it so if you don't mind waiting" My voice trails off.

"Of course I'll wait." I don't speak again and Louis takes this as a sign I don't want to talk more right now and he turns a dial, the sound of radio chatter comes through the speakers so he turns another dial until music comes through the speakers. The song is unfamiliar but upbeat and I can tell Louis likes it because he's mouthing the lyrics. The song soon ends and the hosts come on talking about celeb drama and play through a few commercials when I swear I hear my name. I focus my attention on their words and I don't know why they surprise me.

"Rising star Allison Vance has now been missing for three days. Celebrity Niall Horan's car was found on the side of the road with a bullet punctured tire. Along with the car Allison's phone was found smashed on the ground. Niall hasn't released a statement about why she had his car but if the rumours from a few years ago were true there's a good possibility they're still romantically involved." The woman pauses.

"If you have any details about Allison's whereabouts call authorities immediately" With that another song comes on and I know they're finished.

"Don't pay attention to that. Those reporters just make up stories that the public will feed into. It's exactly what happened when Freddie was born, they create lies and get all riled up about it for a few weeks then it blows over. This will all be sorted out soon enough or something new will happen and everyone will shift their focus onto that." I always seem to forget that Louis has a son and that everyone is growing up now.
