17 - Caught Offguard

Jimin set his phone down on the coffee table in front of us and leaned back against the couch. He let out a loud sigh and shut his eyes.

"I did it." He brought his hands up to cover his face.

I grabbed his phone up off the table. "Did what?"

He reluctantly unlocked his phone for me to read the message:

Sarah😍

Hey, I'm Jimin. Cassie gave me
your number, and I was just
wondering. Would you like to go
grab a bite to eat or a cup of tea
or something sometime?

I smiled and returned the phone back to him. As I did so, I couldn't help noticing that he looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

Suddenly, my phone started buzzing. I picked it up without even looking at the caller ID.

"Hello-?" I was cut off.

"CASSANDRAAAAAAAA!!!" Sarah was screaming from the other end.

I stood up so fast, I tripped before running out the door into the hallway. I couldn't help but burst into belly laughs. I walked slowly down the hall. "What?" I finally managed to ask.

"DiD yOu MaKe HiM tExT mE oR dID hE dO tHAt oN hIS oWn?!"

I muffled another laugh. "Um, well, I sorta told him that you were crushing on him and he asked me what you looked like. So, I showed him a picture of you. He was DROOLING over you and demanded to get your phone number. So, of course, I gave it to him."

Sarah screamed again. "Well, what am I supposed to say?" she asked.

I grinned. "I don't know. Say something you would say."

"But I don't know what I would say," she whined. "I'm not in the right mindset right now. My adrenaline is kicking through the roof and I CAN'T BREATHE, CASSIE!"

"Awww...toughen up." I giggled.

She let out a hearty laugh before hanging up.

I turned back around and began to walk towards the room again. But as I did so, I noticed Jungkook coming out of his dressing room and fiddling with his mic headset. He was already done with hair and makeup.

And, boy, did he look fine.

I took a deep breath to steady my heart that was pumping through my entire system. He noticed I was standing there and began to approach me. My jaw hung open as he smiled at me.

"Hey. Is everything alright?" he asked, bringing his arm up to my chin, shutting my mouth.

He looked like Prince Charming in his gold-embellished jacket and white shirt underneath. I stood completely dumbfounded, staring at him. As soon as he touched me, I snapped back to reality.

"Um, yeah. You just caught me a little offguard there."

He stopped messing with his mic and walked forward a few more inches. He reached his arms around me, causing my arms to reach up around his neck in a tight embrace.

We stayed there for a few happy seconds until we heard a loud shout from Jimin.

AN// Hey hey! How was yall's day? Haha I was dumb and decided to do extra homework that was totally unnecessary because I literally forgot it's Thanksgiving break. How nice.

AAAAANYWAYS. I bet you wanted to know what the funny story was I was talking about earlier. Well, haHA. You're gonna laugh. Well. Maybe not.

So, I went to DisneyWorld back in the spring, right? I went to Epcot actually (which just happens to be my favorite part of the park.

Well, right as I was leaving the little Chinese restaurant they had there, I deadass saw a camera crew, hair and makeup stylists, and several guys in a little clump in front of one of the buildings.

Ha. So me being me, I wanted to see what was going on. My curiosity got the better of me and I ventured out with my friend trailing behind me. As I approached the team, a security officer told me nicely that I needed to back away as they finish filming.

Obviously, I didn't wanna listen. But I did anyway.

I walked away a bit and climbed up onto a park bench to see what was going on. Come to find out, it was a band filming what I assume was either a video promo or a music video.

As they got closer to where I stood, I realized who it was. BTS. Yeah. But since I'm an idiot, and since I wasn't an ARMY yet, I didn't get pics or autographs. But you know what? I'll never forget looking at Jungkook's face.

My heart hurts now. Ok. Sad child hours are upon me.
