"Hey, hey, I'm right here." Jungkook popped his head back inside the fort. "I was just taking a call from the guys and I didn't want to wake you."
He cocked his head over to the side and watched closely as I exhaled deeply. "Were you really that scared?" he asked.
"Well, yeah. Sorta. " I admitted.
He scoffed. "I would never leave you. Especially not all alone in the middle of who knows where."
He walked back over to where I sat, watching my intently. He sat down right next to me, softly brushing his hand through my hair. I took my phone out of my pocket to check the time: 1:17am.
"I wish we could stay here. Together. For. . .ever?" I leaned my head against his broad shoulder.
"So do I," He agreed. "So do I."
After some time of sitting in silence, he stood up and extended his hand out to me. I looked up into his smiling face and took hold of his soft hand. He helped me stand up to my feet.
"Come on, Cass. I'll take you home."
He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and walked with me back to the limo, which was surprisingly still there. I hustled in before Jungkook slid in and shut the door.
We sat in beautiful silence; bodies up next to one another, hands intertwined, heads against each other. I could hear his steady heartbeat speed up each time I leaned in closer to him.
The vehicle soon stopped moving, but I had fallen asleep. Jungkook came around the vehicle and opened my door. He gently picked me up, so as not to wake me up, and carried me to our apartments.
He started toward mine, but then thought better of it and entered into his own apartment. He laid me down on his bed and tucked me in like an infant during a thunderstorm.
He leaned down close to my face. He smiled and gently stroke the side of my face with his thumb before silently caressing my cheek. He took one last long gaze at me and then walked back out of the room. I was in a deep sleep.
