Performance after performance, I stood in complete awe. They were all so energetic and they were always in perfect synchronization. I couldn't help but tear up a little during Wings.
There were a few moments in between each song where the band would have a few various funny bits. They would tease some of the girls in the front rows and would crack some dreadful dad jokes (most of them were from Jin).
I'm gonna be totally honest. When Jin sang Epiphany live all by himself, I got super emotional. I could just feel his hurt and realization through the song. All the fans around me were just flat-out bawling.
At the end of the first "act", the band sang Save Me. I was shocked at how perfect their dancing was. So as soon as they announced that there would be a break, I raced out of my seat to head backstage.
I proved my business to the security officers with my backstage pass and they let me through. I began to slowly walk down the hallway, but when I saw the band walking into the breakroom, I sped up.
When I reached the breakroom door, I peeked in, hoping to see my boyfriend. Strange. Jungkook wasn't in there at all.
"Boo!" a deep voice whispered in my ear from behind me as his hands tickled my sides. I jumped and let out a quick shriek. I turned around to face whoever it was.
"Jungkookie!" I shouted. I wrapped my hands up around his neck. Immediately, I retracted them. "Woah, you are extremely sweaty."
"Well, yeah. That's what happens when you're onstage for a whole hour and a half, dancing and singing."
I placed my hands on his neck again. "That's understandable, I guess. I can tolerate you."
He laughed and set his hands on my waist. "How do you like it so far?" he asked me.
"Oh, JK. I love it so much. Your enthusiasm makes my heart hurt so much." We laughed and I slid my hands off his neck and pressed his chest gently, signaling him to let go of me. I continued, "I wanna do stuff like you do. You're so talented, like how?"
He chuckled softly and suggested, "It must be in my DNA."
I pulled him back in to me and hugged him longer and tighter. I slowly pulled myself away from him.
"I should probably get back to my seat and give you a chance to breathe." I starting my way back down the hallway.
He quickly grabbed my elbow to stop me and said, "You are the reason I breathe, Cassie. You make me want to live a long and full life."
I smiled at him as he took my hand in his. "Stay?" he asked, "At least for a little while?"
I checked the time on my phone and nodded. "Ok. Only a few minutes."
We began to stroll around the backstage area. I stopped abruptly and turned to face Jungkook. I took a deep breath to muster up some courage.
I asked him with a deep concern, "Can we please talk about that kiss earlier today? In front of literally everyone?"
He smirked and nodded, "Sure. What about it?"
I took another breath before answering. "Well, someone snapped a pic of us and now it's on big-name magazine covers."
His eyes grew wide and his mouth gaped open.
