"Well, you see. The band and I have a pop-up show tonight. We didn't know about it until a few days ago. But I really, really wanted to hang out with you. So, I thought maybe you might've wanted to come to the show with me. And I thought maybe you'd wanna hang out for awhile after the show and the meet-and-greets. That's why I brought you here."
He looked up at me sheepishly. A smile spread across my face as I brought my arms around to embrace Jungkook after his explanation.
I replied, "Awww, Jungkook! You're so sweet. I'd love to watch your performance!"
His eyes lit up and he looked a little puzzled. "Wait. Really?! You mean it?"
I laughed at his disbelief. "Yes, of course!"
"Oh, you have no idea how much I love you-" again he mumbled a bit before continuing. "Y-your laugh! It's so-it's so beautiful. Just like you."
I felt my cheeks grow warm out of embarrassment and took the compliment. "Thank you."
Then, Jimin barged into the room, totally ruining the moment. He took a quick look at me and Jungkook and then did a doubletake. He laughed and walked closer to us, "Ooooh, what's going on down here?" he asked.
"Nothing that concerns you." Jungkook retorted. There was some silence until Jungkook gave in and continued, "Cassie's gonna hang out with me after the show."
Jimin's jaw dropped as I stood up, revealing my dress. He smiled at me nervously. "Oof. Cass, you look amazing."
He then turned to Jungkook and addressed him. "Uh, Jungkook? Do you mind if we talk for a quick minute or two?"
"No, not at all." he simply replied and stood up.
He and Jimin walked outside the door. I couldn't exactly hear what they were saying, so I walked up close to the door.
"Damnnnn, Jung. You scored big time. Don't screw this up," Jimin warned him.
Jungkook let out a small sigh. "Yeah, I know. She's WAY outta my league. But she's got a really great sense of humor and that's what counts the most. Not to mention she's-"
"Beautiful?" Jimin finished.
"No, she's more than that. She's just. . .perfect."
Jimin laughed a little lightly. "Whatever you say. You've got her. Don't lose her."
Jungkook started to walk away, but Jimin grabbed his arm and jerked him back. "You ARE taking her out to the place after the show, right?" he whispered.
Jungkook followed the whisper. "Uh, yeah."
Jimin let go and nodded in approval. "Good. She's got you. You're falling for her, but make sure you catch yourself before you fall headlong into your own trap. Treat her right. And with the respect she deserves."
He let go and walked away.
