Jin led me down a dimly lit hallway to a big heavy door.
"This is it," he said. "But you're not allowed to go in there yet."
"What? Why?" I asked, reaching for the door handle.
He slapped my hand back sharply. "I don't know. RM and Jungkook told me you can't go in. They're probably setting some stuff up for the show and wanna keep it a surprise."
He shrugged a bit before ushering me to follow him. We began walking back to the dressing room. I was getting kind of bored.
"Jin?" I asked as I stopped walking.
He also stopped and spun around to face me. "Yes?" he replied.
I continued, "Could I go to the lobby?"
He looked a little confused before answering. "Well, sure. I don't see why not. But why do you want to go back there?"
"Because we didn't get to see it when I came in. We came in through the back stage door. I just wanna look around the building is all."
Jin took a deep breath and exhaled, "Fair enough. I walk fast, so try to keep up."
I laughed and jumped up in the air. We started venturing back down the hallway to a side door. He forced the door open and held it out for me. I stepped in and scanned from my left to my right.
There were paintings and statues lining the walls. It looked more like a museum than a theatre holding an auditorium. As I looked up, I gasped.
The was a very, very high ceiling and hanging down from the top, was a gigantic diamond chandelier. Around the chandelier were beautifully stunning paintings.
"This is glorious." I stood wandering in circles, looking up.
"Sure is!" Jin agreed, looking up a bit nervously.
"And you guys are performing here?" I asked.
"Well, I should hope so." he replied, a bit sarcastically.
"Wow. How do you guys do it? You go from show to show and you never look even slightly tired. But I know you must be. How do you do this for so long? Don't you guys ever want a break?" We began walking back down to the backstage area.
He began, "If the ARMY wasn't this supportive, there would be no BTS. Their energy affects how we live, laugh, breathe, think, hope, dream, sing, rap, dance. Perform. Sure, we're exhausted. But we're not tired. We leave everything up on that stage. Then we go eat food. Then we drive home and get some sleep. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have this band alongside me. They're my entire life."
I nodded in silence. We eventually made it back to the breakrooms.
"Do you need anything else, Cassie?" Jin asked.
I hugged him. "No. Thank you, Jin, for sharing. And for giving the time to walk and talk with me."
He nodded. "Of course. You know. You're pretty cool. I can see why Jungkook likes you so much."
Then he walked away. I smiled after him and then decided to sit down in a corner and rewatch BTS's old Vlives.
