Adriana's POV

Life is a boring thing. Odd to hear that from me. I know my life has been rather adventurous lately. But just life in general is boring. Stories of people with exciting lives; they're really only exciting once. Everyone gets one big chance to make something happen. After that it's mediocracy.

Damien brought me home and began to treat me like a true luna. Ross tried to come visit me. I wished I could've seen him, but Damien wasn't having it. Yeah I miss him, but I know I'm where I belong.

Just two and a half months ago Damien got me back, and here I am now. Brushing my teeth as I get ready for a formal pack dinner. We're commemorating the induction of four new warriors. Next week we have two other celebrations too.

We've been busy.

But c'est la vie.

My eyes turned to the door of the bathroom as Damien walked in. Handsome shirtless man he is reached for the deodorant and stared at me creepily as he put it on. "Ish derh a brobem?" I spit out my toothpaste and repeated, "Is there a problem?"

He shook his head before giving me a kiss on the forehead and walking out. I finished my teeth, braided my hair, and applied my own deodorant before walking out. Damien was all dressed in dark jeans and a casual, striped, button up shirt. He wore Dockers on his feet and a silver watch on his wrist.

So cute when he tries.

I dug my nose through the closet until a found a long sleeved maroon dress that would look nice with a pair of cowboy boots I had tucked away. When me and Damien were both dressed we headed to the gathering space outside.

Simple setup with just round tables for people and long straight ones for the food. Me and Damien had a reserved table towards the front, but thankfully not on any kind of stage or podium. I wasn't in the mood for a fuss.

As we paced forward to our table, members of the pack stood and bowed in respect to us. I tried to keep my head straight despite the awkwardness I felt. I'd never get used to this. Damien took my hand and guided me to our seats. He pulled out my chair and once I seated spoke from behind me, "We have many great things to celebrate. Our pack is whole again," as he said this he motion to me and the entire crowd cheered a beautiful sound, "we are all thankful that our Luna has been returned, and now today we celebrate the induction of our new warriors, the few strong men who have pledged their loyalty to this pack and this Luna. Our pack becomes greater with each generation and we will continue to grow stronger and stronger. I thank every member of this pack for supporting me in my time of need, and I pledge to serve this pack with my life."

The crowd cheered again. Damien could literally stand up and say "peanut butter" and his pack would cheer. But I'll admit, it was a good speech. Short and quick, but meaningful. Damien has always been a man of quality over quantity. It was more important to him that the words were true than if the speech was great and long.

"One day this pack will be handed over to a new alpha. Someday a new leader shall guide this pack to greatness. Generation after generation we will thrive. Our legacy is what we leave behind, all we can do is carve the path for the future." Damien took a seat and held my hand. The rest of the evening continued really self-sufficiently. Damien did give a few remarks, but the ceremony was led by the head warrior in the pack.

I watched curiously as the head warrior dipped his hand into what appeared to be holy water, and firmly grasped each man's forehead. I stared unbelieving at the sight. A baptism?

"For each rank in the pack there is a separate mind link. Typically, you could only talk to individuals, but with the water from our pack spring you can be bonded into a 'groupchat' for lack of a better word," Damien whispered all of this to me, I suppose my thoughts dropped through the link he was always tapping into.

I've tried my hardest to blend into the pack life, I still feel lost and out of place at times.
